My cycle is wack. Please help.

This is 15th cycle ttc. 12 since temping. This has never happened before. My temps have spiked like i have Ovulated at CD:7 , im a CD:16 at earliest.
Whats caused this? Worse case scinario what does this show for my ability to conceive etc long term?
I have had 2-5 bloods which showed 8.2 FSH & Day 21s that showed 20 progesterone so normal there.
Last cycle onward i took:
500mg COQ10
Myo iniositol
Zinc + Vitamin C
Folic + Vitamin D
I was taking Vitamin E in lead up to O & swiftly stopping at O and same withe EPO i was taking 1000mg.

Its so early i hadnt even really started temping. I only start CD:6 + and this cycle i forgot CD:6. I would have started OPKs from tomorrow but have taken them this AM.

Clearblue says Low big O
Onestep says a possible positive!? How can they be so different!?
I always use FMU for OPKs as its only way on a OneStep that i can get a positive. (I had a few cycles with no positives).

Why are you taking myo inositol? Do you have pcos? As i learned here, inositol can mess up cycle. Atomic, correct me if i am wrong.

For opk you dont need fmu, you need to check it afternoon. In fmu you dont have enough lh hormone. We produce less of it at night. Drink less water 2 hours prior to test, i take it always at 3 or 4 pm.

I dont know why but i have to take any OPKs with FMU only way they work for me.
Ive also taken myo since October or something last year and been fine so far.. :(

It's very likely just a fluke temperature. Please wait and see what happens over the course of the next few days.

It doesn't mean anything for your ability to conceive or anything for future cycles.

Please immediately stop going off and onto Vit. E. That is not safe. I do not want you taking any more than 100% daily value of Vit. E anyway as higher doses have been linked to birth defects. Can you simply get a prenatal or multivitamin? Most times, the nutrients taken separately come in much higher amounts than what is safe when trying to conceive.

Why are you taking evening primrose oil? were you taking that when you had the bloods done?

:agree: sofkay is actually one of the people for whom the myoinositol may be beneficial so that's ok for her to take.

:agree: I do also prefer afternoon urine but sometimes people who drink a lot of fluids will have to wait till the next morning's urine to see a positive. Be warned though ladies, if you test in the morning you will likely have less lead time before ovulation!

You can continue with the Myo as per our private conversation. You very well may be helped by it.

Thanks Atomic. I will stop vitamin E now. I am taking EPO because i read it helps CM? yes i was taking it last cycle, thats when bloods taken. I take it until i know i have ovulated.
Also my temp went back down to normal (it was the 2 day spike that threw me), so should be ok. both opks negative this am aswell, thankfully.

Don't stop Vit. E suddenly, wean off of it by spacing doses.

We have seen EPO cause a lot of trouble but if you want to use it, as long as you're not taking more than 500 mg and stopping at ovulation that's ok.

Hi, so this cycle has turned Anovulatory now, i am cd:20 and that is latest i have ever ovulated. No + OPK on cheapies and just flashy smileys on clearblue (not sure what to make of that) had them for 8 days so far...
I was wondering about taking vitamin b6? I dont want to overdo vitamins but i have read they help in someway but not sure if worth it...
Im on myo, coq10, vitamin c, zinc, folic and vitamin d with epo up to O.

we have DH sperm analysis march 18th and then i think they do my tube blockage checks (depending on results of his sperm analysis).

That does not mean you're having an anovulatory cycle. You will likely still ovulate, just later.

Please no Vit. B6, I see that cause more harm than good in about 90% of people.

Have you noticed that the more stuff you're taking, the worse your cycle is getting?

I storngly, strongly suggest ditching that EPO. I think it's delayed your ovulation.

I went from watery cm to creamy cm / none yesterday in a day so i am suspicious something *may* of happened. who knows?
I am very much considering dropping EPO as it hasnt made my CM any better or worse, and only reason i took it was to increase CM!

Hiya just wanted an opinion on if ive ovulated :(
Cd18+19 were two typical pre o cm days. Lots of it & watery. Cd:20 was a typical post o cm creamy etc
Id ignore clearblue flashing smiley as havent found them very good for me.
On cd:23 i had spotting, very minimal. Bright red one 2" blop that was it never to return again, question my sanity on if even there at all!!! Haha :)

I want you on the alternate diet and exercising.

Don't take any herbs or supplements since most of them are really problematic.

We might take myoinositol (we talked about this already, right?)

Hubby needs to avoid long periods of abstain or daily release. I'd have you do e4d (in the 72 hr. pattern) plus one more attmept at pos OPK OR SMEP.

Avoid lubes if you can or else use Preseed/Conceive Plus, anything marked sperm safe

Guaifenesin to help EWCM

Don't do shallow release and be sure you stay laying flat at least 30 min, part of that on your tummy

Female O if you can

If you're ready to go this route DH may want to take a fertility vitamin.

No hot baths, jacuzzi, tight underwear, joging and biking for him

1. How many mg of Guaifenesin should i take? and when? all the time etc? what about DH with Guaifensin?
2. when you say lie flat for 30 minutes (i do do this already) and with part on tummy, do you mean lie first 15 mins on back and last 15 mins on tummy? why is this?
and lastly, what is the alternative diet and exercise you mention? how much exercise? what diet?

I should be getting DH's sperm results this week, probably near the end of week, then hopefully i will get scans done (hycosy and the other scan, and i will get a AMH done when tests are seemingly concluding).

Yeah that's what I'm saying, certainly doesn't need to be to the minute or anything. About half of women have something called a "tipped uterus" and we believe laying on the tummy may help boost odds of conception for people for whom having a tipped uterus may lower it.

I think we've talked about this in the past but I think you'd do well on the atomic fertility diet https://www.genderdreaming.com/forum...ar-issues.html and doing at least SOME exercise will really help your odds of conception.

and to guafenesin when should we be taking it in the cycle? for him and me?

It doens't matter really whether it's tummy first, just give it a little time on both.

After AF ends do guaifenesin some daily. (most people do it starting 5 days before O, but with an irregular cycle we won't know that) For him you can save it till you see EWCM OR even the days of attempt. And you continue till 3 days after O.

No maca. We don't even know what is going on with you and even if it WAS a miracle cure (which it isn't) you can't be taking these things when you're having fertility testing done as it may affect the outcome.

Maca is loaded with plant estrogens and I do not recommend it for anyone. It has caused some really bizarre side effects and some men who took it could not ejaculate til they stopped taking it.

They will often have you come in even for normal analysis. Don't worry till you know there's reason. And DO still pursue the testing for you because sometimes fertility challenges are multifactorial and we want to know everything that's going on.

Hi atomic. the sperm results come back 10million but 66% motile/moving. not particually good.
how impossible is it to get pregnant with this count? i cant find much online. also based on this count, when should we dtd? im guessing absitance will play more of a crutial role now? please help!! im raking my brains trying to work out whats best, cleaning 'pipes' or abstaining for hopefully more sperm but risking the 66% motile...? Im thinking of trying to have more fish/omega 3? for us both.. will this do anything to us both? delay o? etc etc?

Following the results they are now going to do a scan to check structure of testicles and retest.

Not impossible but more of a challenge. You still need to get tested to rule out any other problems.

Why would abstain play a crucial role?? He needs to be continuing to release every 2-4 days to stimulate his body to make healthy sperm and get rid of old unhealthy ones.

What supplements is he taking right now?

I want you to to e4d plus one or SMEP. Your choice.

my theory was if we abstain for longer he has more sperm in his count? but of course i also understand more abstainance means more dead sperm. the test was done on a 4 day abstitance, i dont know if that makes any difference on your opinion on if we should abstain for longer or not? he got 10m count but other two were great - i didnt hear the other one but i know he had 66% motile/progressive.
*i also add the reason i thought to abstain more is because he has always struggled to produce a lot of sperm in quick succession, usually 2 days in a row is all he can do (might make more sense why it was always like this for him now) we have tried SMEP before and it didnt work for the reason above, he was burnt out -

i am still having my testing so yes there could be multiple issues :( after speaking to drs, i am now (finally) being reffered to clinic for my tests!

the drs are scanning dhs testicles for structual issues and repeating test, she said usually 3 months but it appeared like it would be more instant-

drs have said to us he needs to take 100% vitamin c and vitabiotics conception, they recommended i also take a allround multvitamin.
I had read online that Omega 3 helped count and helped female fertility - i wasnt going to supplement but i was going to add a lot more fish/salmon/walnuts to diet to get this. Opinions? Will it mess up my cycles? i have stopped EPO now...

PLEASE do not have him abstain longer than 4 days. Have him release every 2-4 days.

10 m count is low. That's much more of a concern than the other stuff.

When your husband struggles to produce sperm it's NOT the reason his count is low. What you're thinking of is semen, not sperm. You can have a small batch of semen with tons of sperm and a massive batch of semen with no sperm. There is an indirect correlation between having a lower sex drive and poor sperm count but it's not at all sure (lots of men have huge sperm counts and low sex drive, and vice versa).

So what I"d try to have you guys do since SMEP is off the table, is have attempts every 72 hours starting after AF ends and going through till when your next period begins. Then in addition to that, add in one attempt at positive OPK whenever that falls.

I don't recommend Wellman's. It has megadoses of nutrients in it and herbs, some of which may be harmful. I would much rather see you give him Men's One a Day over 50 and then add in l-arginine and l-carnitine separately.

fine to give him 500 mg fish oil daily. I would wait for you to see if there are any issues. If for instance you have endometriosis, fish oil can actually aggravate the bleeding from endo so I think it best for you to hold off till after the testing.

hi atmoic got to write on here again as feel like im losing my mind -
i keep trying to think of ways i can increase dh sperm count..
we do now do 3 portions oily-omega 3- fish a day im also going to have him have about 20g of 70%+ cocoa solids dark chocolate 5x a week aswell.
I keep really umm'ing and arr'ing over whether to add Maca root (500mg i wouldnt go too high) people are stating it really is a super food and that you cannot overdose.

I read on another forums (in my country) that few experts recommend releasing daily, and keep that area colder (cold water shower), takinc zinc can help sperm, and also help if someone have dnk deformations in sperm.

People say a lot of things online but I promise that after having seen several people have bad results with the Maca I cannot and will not ever recommend it to anyone.

3 portions of fish a day??? NO please don't because there are chemicals in fish that they've absorbed from the water and eating it too often is by far worse than not enough. I would keep you to 2x a week and him to 3.

Chocolate is fine.

Releasing daily lowers sperm count. He should release every 2-4 days.

Zinc is fine but no more than the 100% DRV which is 25 mg.

Cold showers DO NOTHING for a guy's sperm. He will benefit from keeping the area cooler over time, but that doesn't mean that a short burst of cold is going to help his sperm at all! I have a long explanation here https://www.genderdreaming.com/forum...blue-pink.html So please just don't have him wear tight underwear, jog and bike, and if he can sleep in the nude that may help. Cold showers don't help and may lower testosterone even.
