Hiya, just wondering if the skull will be formed enough in shape to guess a girl or boy shape?
No point looking for nub right as too early?
Will ask about placenta location for the ramzi theory though.
I will be 8+4 so not sure if the skull theory will work that early?
It will still be alien like at that point so I don't think so!
I was going to hope for the same thing Chocolate!! When is your scan?
Ha Ha, just googled some 9 week pics and they are little blobs with a rough head and body shape - no way this is going to give an indication, amazing how much they change from 9 weeks to 12 weeks!
Hi Auroara, mine is next Thursday, paid for a private one for reassurance even though I had one at 6 weeks, until the doppler picks up heartbeat I just need that little bit of reassurance. The scan was also £36 so couldnt resist. When is your scan?
I think it's too late for Ramzi at that point too. sorry.

someone please correct me if I am wrong, but I believe it has to be almost immediately after conception??
By the time you reach 8-10 weeks, your uterus has grown so much that there is no longer any way to be 100% sure what side the baby originally implanted on.
I think the best time is 6 to 7 weeks for the ramzi theory, I had a scan at this point and on the screen the entire baby etc. was far right, so reversed means far left = girl, but I didnt ask so could be wrong. Think if its far one side or the other then it may still give a clue as still so tiny, the placenta doesnt work till later but apparently there is a white blob which is where the placenta will grow. I will ask the sonographer if I saw the baby in the right of screen done abdominally does that mean left, or could if be different.
That's what I'm confused about. I had a 7 week scan and one pic bean is def on the left and another on the right.
I suppose on one she was looking downward and another from the side.
I tried to compare with my ds2's 7 week scan and the one where the uterus shape was most similar (therefore taken from same angle presumably) the implantation seems to be on the opposite side. Gosh how I hope this is true and this is a girl....:pray:
chocolate- was thinking of going to your scan place as so cheap as I still have 12 days until 12 week scan and think I need some reasurrance in the meantime. How was it?

I did some research, (sue me, I'm a librarian!) and this is what I found:
Dr. Ramzi himself said: "You must ask the sonographer to get a true transverse section of the uterus and placenta, if possible, can put the color flow in it. The placenta heights, upper or lower, is not the answer I am looking for but placenta location on the sides, laterality or the bulk of the placenta to either sides. If you are not sure, please go to ¤k¤H¤ß¨Æ-°ü²£¬ì¿Ô¸ßªA°Èºô look under the ultrasound section and read my paper."
His paper is titled "The relationship between placental location and fetal gender (Ramzis Method)"
According to the paper (that is lengthy), the best time to do this theory is when the baby is 6 weeks gestation, so right around the time of the 8 week scan, since pregnancy counts the two weeks before you even concieve!
I printed out some materials that I plan to bring me with my ultrasound, along with asking for this true transverse section of the uterus. He also went on to say in a different post that women kept asking their sonographers where their "baby" is located, and that's not what to look for, it's where the placenta / chronic viii is located that is the key to his method.

can you tell side of placenta just from looking at the early ultrasound photos or did you need to ask /see at the time of the scan? im now 15 weeks so maybe i missed that window for ramzi theory?
