Please advice on big sway

Hi lovely ladies, I am 14 months pp, my daughter self weaned bf at 13 months, which I immediately got my period back after 2 weeks, I am planning on trying in April which would make me 17 months pp ( hopefully this is sufficient for a boy sway)
I have started taking vitamins since 3 months ago and until April I would have been 6 months on them, I take prenatal, folic 1200, omega, and cq10 my partner takes same as me with l’-argentine too.
I am trying to be as prepared as I can for April however I am a little confused on ovulation, I put my period details on prenom app however I am not ovulating when it’s saying I should be rather than a week later I have taken OPK, please let me knwo your thoughts should I be baby dancing on the peak of when my tests say, and why don’t they mirror up with the app.

As I am not bf is there anything else I could be taking leading up to April To make my sway stronger and have a better chance at a boy ( I am willing to try anything) please advice it’s my last baby and keen to give my son a brother he so much wants ( I already have boy (7) , girl (5) , girl (14m).

I also plan on using the cough syrup with only 1 active ingredients and preseed. Going to start taking a baking soda and lemon drink too.

The premom app is junk. It's really bad, for blue swayers especially. Can you tell me more about what you mean when you say you're ovulating a week later? How are you determining the ovulation? When does your period come?

I don't recommend the baking soda drink as it does nothing to help your sway and pH is biologically impossible anyway.

What prenatal are you taking?

I would have you both add in probiotics too.

Would your husband also take carnitine?

I have a very hard time understanding the apps. Can you tell me using plain words when you had your period, when your FIRST positive OPK (not the "peak" the apps say, which is bad information and unreliabel) and then when your next period came?

Apologies I don’t mean a week later I was reading the app wrong just new to this whole app tracking, I had my period 26 December till 1st jan and 1st positive opk was on the 15th January and then opk was still positive on the 16 when I retook ( so hypothetically is the same happens in the month of April when planning to try would I be BD in 15 and 16 ( how many attempts) and would that be enough for blue sway.

Taking women’s centrum and so is hubby
Also fish oil for both
Me taking 1200 folic acid
Cq10 for both
Is there anything else I could be taking to increase the odds more only desperate as it’s our last baby and last chance to

Can you explain this to me in Cycle Days? You got your positive OPK on what Cycle Day? We can't use calendar days because that will change from month to month. I can't really tell you what days to have intercourse in April, they will be totally different in that month than they were in this month.

I would give your husband both arginine and carnitine if he's willing. (500 of the arginine)

Cycle 21 I got my first opk and then next day cycle 22 was high again.
Okay I will get that for him, what about excerise does that help with me, I am 70kg at the moment. Any other supplements I could be taking to boost my chances.

And then when did your period come in relation to that?

Yes, exercise helps a lot! Absolutely highly recommend!

Due them 30th of jan I only had one set of period since DD weaned at 13 months ( plan to officially try in April ( 17 m ppt)
Okay I will exercise

I am taking 1200 folic acid ( 400 included in the prenatal)
Q10
Fish oil
Pregnacare conception prenatal ( a lot in uk seem to get boys with these) been taking them for the past 2/3 months)
Priobotics

In April will also take the cough syrup after my period ends

I really cannot go back and forth between calendar days and cycle days. I need cycle days only.

Those supps are all you need for blue.

I cannot stand Pregnacare and it has actually really caused a lot of trouble for us. It messes up people's cycles hugely. So if you're seeing a change in your cycle it is very likely down to the Pregnacare and you should wean off that and use something that does not have those high doses of B Vitamins like Women's One a Day or Centrum.

Cycle day 1 is when my period started and lasted until cycle day 7 ( some apps say I should of ovulated on cycle day 14 however I tested positive with OPK on cycle day 22) is this normal 2 weeks after pp to ovulate? Or could it be the pregnacare causing anything, I am due to get my period again in a couple days so will track more rigorously.

Good luck with your sway, I am also TTC blue this month. If you had a positive opk at cd 22, then how long is your cycle? How many days does it take from the first day of one period to the first day of the next period?

It will make it clearer if the pregnacare is affecting your cycle because ideally the period should come around 14days after ovulation.

Good luck again, and also on what cycle day did you start testing with the opk?

Hello

December was my first official month of having period since giving birth as I was breastfeeding until 13months. So
It’s my first cycle but I have never tracked hence why this is all new to me I guess my confusion is why I am ovulating 2 week after my period shouldn’t it be straight after the following week.

What supplements are you taking ? Not sure if the prengacare has anything to do with it or not but i did read it can mess up ur cycle but many in the UK take it for boy sway so jot sure.

When u planning to properly tcc, sending u lots lots of blue dust hopefully we got this xx

Since your period just started, it may take a few cycles to normalise, so don't worry.

I'm currently taking women's one a day, fish oil and coq10. I started attempting this month. I'm on cd12 and I have b'd cd5, 7, 8, 11, 12 and I hope to bd cd13, 14 &15.

Having unprotected attempts outside the fertile window and also within the fertile window is said to sway blue. Within the fertile window, it's recommended to have 3-5 attempts.

For people sticking to shettles method, those attempts would be the night of positive opk (O-1), the morning and night after positive opk (O), then an extra the next day (O+1) to guard against delayed ovulation.

For me I have a 27 day cycle but I don't want to follow shettles method. So my attempts outside the fertile window were on cd 5, 7&8. My attempts within the fertile window will be cd 11, 12, 13, 14 & 15 hopefully. I had a positive opk today cd 12.

I hope to have all bases covered.

Swaying isn't easy but be sure to check your bd plan with atomic, she will guide you better.

I also have 3 kids, boy, girl, girl too, and I am sure dh and I had way more sex when we conceived ds than when we had the girls.

I am not using preseed or cough syrup. Since I started swaying I've had more ewcm. But I took some grape juice a week before ovulation.

It depends on the kind of sway you want. Some people cannot let go of Shettles timing even though it's been completely debunked, and they have 3 attempts (but O-1 and O Day - so you have 2 attempts one of those days). There has never been a proven pregnancy on O+1. Now, we have people have sex that day because their ovulation may be delayed, NOT because O+1 is a desirable day to have sex for a boy. The egg is either fertilized or dead by that point if you ovulate on the day you think you did.

Those of us who have either given up on timing or don't care about it because it's been so thoroughly debunked have sex outside of that narrow range because there is evidence that indicates regular unprotected sex makes you more fertile, and theories that say it may make you more blue friendly. It is also in line with what many of us myself included did when we got our boys. Most of us have unprotected sex all the time when not trying, just use protection in the fertile window, and then when we start trying, we have sex thru the fertile window. Lots of exposure to hormones in semen and we got our boys that way.

It's all about which option feels right to you.

The most likely explanation is that your first cycle may be a bit weird. But yes, that's how the Pregnacare messes things up, is by delaying ovulation. Based on ten years and into the tens of thousands of people, I do not recommend Pregnacare (and they even had to add a warning onto their website that people were seeing their cycle get disrupted on that vitamin.)

That having been said, that is still considered in a normal range of ovulation. Ovulating CD 21 or so is not a big deal. If it gets way more delayed or stops all together then we might have to take steps (and I do still recommend coming off the Pregnacare for some other supplement instead) but it's not a huge deal that you ovulated later.

Thank you atomic i might see how this cycle is in the coming perhaps it was weird as it was my first period. No I am not fussed on timing just which ever one has a better chance of baby blue, can you have unprotected sex every day in the month then to ensure you hit all fertile days, or does that hinder the quality of sperm?

You can't have sex every day because then your husband's sperm count becomes too depleted. We want to aim at sex every 2-4 days in the non-fertile time of month, and then during the fertile window O-2 through O Day (and then usually a couple days after that in case of delayed O) hit it every day.

Good luck sounds like we are in the same position, I think so too, with my son we were bd a lot as I essentially getting pregnant and with my 1st daughter she was a accident pull out and other daughter one time only. May I ask are you doing the shuttles method BD close to ovulation or are you BD all week

It makes no difference as long as you have the 3 or more attempts in the fertile window. timing doesn't work. It doesn't sway at all. The only reason I do the 2-3 attempts right at ovulation is to placate people who want timing but it doesn't matter as long as you're in the fertile window.

Please do not take l-arginine yourself. Only give that to your husband. It has been very disruptive to people's cycles and when people used it during our first year so many of them got girls I dropped it for women totally.

I don't recommend Alka Selzer Gold. If you must use it be sure you aren't using anything else with baking soda or potassium in it as you can OD on it.

No haven’t done any drinks or taken any specific supplements nor eating many Bananas etc hence why I thought many be good to add it in the last 2 weeks before my sway. however does it increase my chances of a boy sway if I add it for the next 2 weeks only till ovulation is finished.

Yes it's totally vile!! I prefer you guys eat fruit and veg for potassium and there's no benefit ever show to drinking stuff with baking soda. It actually makes potassium leach from your system (that is why they put potassium in it to begin with, is to ensure people don't make themselves seriously ill taking it) so it really makes no sense to both be trying to increase potassium while drinking baking soda!
