Had a LH surge on Thursday. We did BD on late Wednesday night and I was feeling hopeful but I’ve started spotting now for some reason. It’s probably cause I’m still breastfeeding. I’m upset but hopefully next month is our month [emoji24]

It can be from breastfeeding, but do you think there's any way it's implantation?
I would think it’s too early to be implantation. I’m only about 1 dpo. I was thinking maybe ovulation spotting but that sounds rare as well. It has eased up and almost non existent now. I’m not sure what to think.Quote:

Oh in that case it may be cervical bleeding. Around ovulation your cervix is very soft and easily injured. Sometimes you can get some bleeding from it that hits the EWCM and looks like a lot more blood than there actually is.

So how many days was the cycle total?
I had heavy bleeding that once when I went to the the bathroom. Went to bed and woke up to nothing. I’ve had some very very very light, brown spotting here and there since then. It’s not every time I wipe/go to the bathroom and it is getting lighter as the days go on. I had some this morning but you could barely see it. I did have from EWCM yesterday too. I took an opk because I was curious and it was the lowest it’s been. I am so confused. If that bleeding was a period that means my cycle was only 19 days long with my ovulation being on CD 17/18. That is very unusual for me and has never happened. I’ve only had mid cycle bleeding once before but I never got a positive OPK. I’m not sure if I’m on CD 2 or 21 lolQuote:

Ok. That does sound more along the lines of what we'd expect to see in an anovulatory cycle from breastfeeding. I would treat it as CD 1 because the breakthrough bleeding will act as a reset on the cycle and you will likely (not a guarantee but likely) see a more normal cycle this time through.

You can stop testing and just do every 4 days if you want to (in the 72 hour pattern for better chance of conception, in the 96 hour pattern if you want a better chance of pink).
