41 and trying to sway pink for one last time

Hi there
I was hoping for for some advise on swaying pink .I’m 41 and have 1 daughter aged 8 and 4 sons with the youngest being 10 months
I have been running 4 days a week , skipping breakfast and eating light with a veggie meal at night
I’m a moderate drinker love champagne wine etc . I have lost a stone since Xmas .
This will be my fourth cycle trying to conceive now . I’m also taking clomid , fibre and folate
I drink coffee
I have been having one attempt at positive opk but not sure if that is leaving it too late for me to conceive

Have you had your FSH checked?

Most women over 40 are not given Clomid because it can raise FSH very high and reduce egg quality.

What is your BMI now?

It is time to switch to every four day method - have unprotected sex every 72 hours starting after your period ends and continuing on till you are certain you've ovulated, even if it means going all the way thru till next period begins.

My BMI is 20.9
With regards to egg quality should I take a supplement or a portion of smoked salmon a week
I don’t eat eggs , small amount of diary , no milk in coffee
Should I reduce my alcohol intake ?

You need to not take Clomid unless you know what your FSH is. It's not something a supplement or some salmon can fix, it has a very strong effect so we need to know what your FSH is to start with.

No more weight loss. Just hold where you are now.

ARe you eating at least 1500 cals, 40-50 g protein and fat?

I would meet the calories some days but then my alcohol drinking would bring me up there
I am using clomid as a pink sway tactic and possibility of twin girls .
I know that’s a dream away but was willing to give it a go
I have been getting my positives on day 13 or 14
I’m super healthy never catch a cold etc but would get cold sores time to time

What about my husbands part in this
Last time we abstained for 10 days and he had hot showers
One attempt at opk

I am due my period soon and would like some advise them on what to do ?
Should I take my last clomid for this cycle with dtd every 72 hours or leave it out
And have my attempt at a positive opk

If I had my way, I'd have you on the atomic fertility diet in this thread (about five from the top) as this will be much better for egg quality than anyting a supplement will do (and we have better results with it for swaying too.)

I understand why you're doing Clomid, but if it is making your egg quality so poor that you cannot conceive with it then it needs to be dropped. A better choice for you would be Femara/letrozole, which has the benefits of Clomid for your sway and not the drawbacks for egg quality.

Whether to go to e4d plus Clomid or drop the Clomid is up to you. I can't know from here. Some people seem to tolerate the Clomid with no ill effects but many others really see their egg quality tank dramatically on it. I can't know without testing.

The first thing that needs to go, though, is abstain. I'm assuming your husband is over 40 too and no men over 35 are meant to be doing abstain anyway. Very very bad for sperm quality and likely prevented conception completely.

I would have you guys on e4d method - unprotected sex every 72 hours starting after your period ends OR your last dose of Clomid/Femara and carrying on till when you're sure you ovulated, even if that means going all the way through till your next period begins.

I would stick to no more than 2 drinks max per day.

I have started on q10 supplements and folate now
We bd revert 72 hours this month but no success
Would you suggest to continue this way for next month along with fertility diet and exercise ?
How long does the fertility diet and supplement start to have benefits for myself ?

It's your choice about how fast you want to add attempts. Some people are ok with going on a long time not conceiving but at 41 time is not on your side. I would consider e4d possibly for next month but after that go to e4d plus one more attempt at positive OPK. Or for better chance of conception go to e4d plus one NOW.

The diet can start helping immediately though it's believed you'll see best results once you've been on it at least 6 weeks, and more like 12 is likely more effective.
