)Of course, that may have been a coincidence. *Many women are low in iron due to childbirth and menstruation and symptoms caused by anemia are not too common. *Symptoms caused by low blood sugar and low potassium are much more common and there is no law that says you can't have low potassium and low iron at the same time!
)I think you should track your potassium for a couple days just to be absolutely sure - I'm not trying to be a nag, just want you to be safe. *I suspect you were not getting anywhere near enough potassium on IG Diet.
)Well, all I can say is that plenty of people on this site have lost weight by not eating breakfast! *:) *Remember, we're not trying to optimize weight loss, we're swaying!
)Let me explain why IG is pro-eggs and then you can make up your mind. *IG claims that you have to raise progesterone and there is progesterone in eggs, so eating eggs makes your progesterone go up. *First of all, the prog = girls is just one unproven theory that doesn't even have much data backing it up. *Beyond that tho, you do NOT get your body's supply of progesterone from the foods you eat. *Your body MAKES progesterone out of fats and cholesterol - it is irrelevant whether eggs have progesterone in them because that's not the prog your body uses anyway. *Eggs do have cholesterol, but the problem is that your body turns those very same raw materials into estrogen and testosterone and those things sway BLUE! *So when you eat a lot of eggs, all you are doing is providing ample amounts of raw materials for your body to turn into estrogen and testosterone. * Even if your body makes more progesterone using that cholesterol in the egg, it also makes E and T at the same time! *HUGE step in the wrong direction.
)Re egg white, turkey bacon, and almonds, YES, those also sway blue. *It doesn't mean you can't have them in small amounts, but the prob. with them is that they all have protein. *Your body takes that protein and turns it into muscle mass, and muscle mass in turn sends a signal to your body to start making lots of testosterone. *And the healthy fats in the almonds are excellent fuel for your body to turn into T and E.
)Re chicken and salmon - IG has these listed as ok because their "minerals" are balanced. *But again, the mineral stuff is just one theory out of many and it does NOT have consistent data backing it up. *There is much more of a case for testosterone swaying blue than there is minerals. *(Here's the case against minerals if I didn't already post it *
http://genderdreaming.com/forum/tryi...roversial.html) *When you eat chicken and salmon, you are getting a big boost of healthy fat that your body will use to make testosterone and estrogen, and also protein that your body uses to make muscle which then sends a signal to your body to make MORE testosterone. *You DO NOT get your testosterone supply from eating red meat, you get it from eating protein and healthy fats.
)Please understand, I'm not suggesting you eat the IG Diet. *I HATE the IG Diet and I think it's harming people and making sways that would have otherwise succeeded, fail. *I am suggesting the LE Diet instead, which is vegetarian, 1500-1800 cals a day, 40-50 g protein, 20-30% cals from fat (25-60 g depending on how many cals you eat) 2500-3500 mg potassium (or more if you like), 700-1000 mg sodium. *No forbidden foods, just some choices that are better than others. *Fruits and vegetables are fine to eat and most vegetables are actually free foods that you can eat as much as you like. *You do have to count calories for fruit but otherwise they are free - no need to count protein or fat in fruit.
)fist size serving of pasta is fine! *Some people really go overboard with their pasta.
)Just be aware you CAN drop too low on sodium. *NO sodium is not good for you either.
