Also, if Dh and I ever get around to actually bd, how do I tell the difference between all three?

You don't. I wouldn't worry about telling the difference, all three are good for TTC a boy!.
^^^ Yes! Anything resembling the EWCM is a good sign for boy!
I was just more worried about mixing up the ewcm and preseed and some how miss ovulation.

you can have EWCM before, during, and after ovulation anyway. So even if you could tell the difference between them, you're not going to be able to tell where you are in the cycle (at least not THAT close) by EWCM. I had EWCM for 2 whole days after ovulation one time when I conceived (my ovulation was confirmed by ultrasound so I know the day I Oed.)
The point of using the OPK is that we don't have to stress about the changes in our CM and cervix and stuff - we just need to have you in with an attempt (pref. more if it is possible) at or around positive OPK and then our bodies take care of the rest.
