This woman just had her thirteenth baby boy (at the time the article was written she hadn't given birth yet) Oh boy! Couple with 12 sons wait for baby number 13
and her sister also has 10 children - all boys! Surely even despite the most boy friendly lifestyle you would still think that out of 13 pregnancies one would have to be a girl at some point? Do our genetics play a significant role in the genders we conceive?
Genetic factors may come into play (such as tall people do seem to have more sons) but there is and cannot be a "boy gene" or "girl gene". Boring scientific explanation here http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...make-boys.html
If you look at someone like Michelle Duggar you can see this - she has a long run of boys then a long run of girls longer than most of us even have kids. This is lifestyle and luck not genes.
