Folic acid pink sway

Hi all

I have been having 800 of folic acid each day but notice some people are including more in there sways. Does higher amounts of folic acid sway girl and what is the recommened amount, or how much is everyone else having? Thanks in advance

I am taking 1600 mg. Think Atomic recommends up to 2000 while TTC'ing. I don't think it sways. It is only for the health of the baby

The only one I could find was 1000 so that's what I'm taking.

Stupid question, should I be taking 2/day?

Yes probably. It does not hurt. I think your body wash out the acid if you get too much. You could also buy on of less and take that together with the 1000-one

I recommend people take 1200-1600, up to 2000 for those with unexplained losses and blue swayers or over 40ish, up to 4000 for those with history of baby with neural tube defect. It is not for swaying, it's because we are TTC on a more restrictive diet and not taking supplemental B vitamins (that may help with folic absorption and use) and it is the only nutrient ever definitively proven to prevent birth defects when taken prior to conception. Additionally it's very easily blocked and for all we know some of the sway supplements may block it (for blue swayers green tea DOES block it.)
