What type of pop is recommended again?
Sugar free like Sprite Zero/diet coke OR full sugar pop?
Im not sure if the important piece here is the aspartame or the caffeine!

Any kind is ok (except possibly stevia kinds as some people say this sways blue, I doubt it but may as well avoid.)
It depends on what YOU need from it.
If you're trying to tide over between meals, then have diet. If you need calories, then you can have full sugar but have that WITH a meal.
