A Pickle
I am in a Pickle....
So after my son (he's 16 months now and a sway opposite) I gained all my baby weight back and more.
Details are: I am about 190 and am normally around 135 comfortably. I was down to 155 once Baby boy was 12 months but I went on anti-anxiety meds and gained so much weight. I am currently off them but am left with so much weight gain.
Anyways.... My husband wants to wait until next year to ttc. We were thinking try to concieve around September 2019. We want a summer baby. I am a teacher so that works well. I am up for ttc much sooner.
The pickle... is that my my husband wants me to be healthy and lose my weight before we even think about having another kid. (we have 2 boys right now, 3 and 16 months).
So I am so confused.... do I start to sway now? do I lose the weight now but then I wont have any weight to lose during my sway? How do I lose weight now so it doesnt affect my sway? Should I do low carb diet? I am so unbelievably confused. I dont want my weight loss to affect my body thinking low resources NOW and then when I actually sway with carbs (although ill do PCOS diet) then it thinks Im healthier?
I have no idea what to do.

You need to lose the weight NOW. Don't worry about all the things you're thinking about; while we once worried that we shoudl try to time weight loss to coincide with swaying that has not proved to be the case at all. Lose what you can, when you can without worrying about keeping some back for later on.
Right here and now I want you to do whatever method of weight loss works for YOU. We have time to get all this ironed out between now and then. Then, 3 months before you plan to sway, I want you to switch over to atomic fertility diet (DO NOT DO STANDARD LE DIET WITH ALL THE CARBS) because you're very likely insulin resistant and you can find that here: https://genderdreaming.com/forum/ttc...-sugar-issues= Be SURE you are doing 50-60 g protein and fat and full fat dairy only (in fact do full fat dairy NOW and from now on) because people will often fudge on those things thinking they are not important or it harms their sway, but those things are of critical importance to the way that alt. diet works.
I have an essay about weight loss on LE Diet here that may help answer many of your questions. https://www.genderdreaming.com/forum...tml#post960312

Thank you,
So my plan right now is.... stay on my Birth Control Pill.
And focus on losing weight. Typically I will have a strawberry smoothie for breakfast with Protein powder, then Lunch will be a salad with legumes dressing and veggies, and then dinner will be something like rice veggies and chicken.
Am I safe to eat this and it not effect my sway?
I will purchase the plan when I am ready. Last time it took me a long time to get the hang of the sway so I want to start maybe 5 or 6 months prior ttc so that I will get a solid true 12 weeks (3 months) on really good swaying.
Does all this sound like a good plan. And then I can reconnect with you say April (we want to ttc September).

Actually, what information do you have on anti-anxiety medication?
I might go back on them as my doctor told me about a new one that helps with weight loss and anxiety together.
This got me curious.... do these medications sway? Are they healthy to be on while swaying? Or leading up to a sway? Will i have to go off of them during the 12 weeks I am swaying. Just curious.
The drug he wants me to try is called Contrave. Its actually for weight loss but also depression/anxiety.
Any thoughts on this?

It sways pink but as you can't be on them (generally speaking, barring those whose anxiety is so severe that the benefit outweighs the risk) around the time you are conceiving, so you need to have a plan in place with your doctor about when and how to come off them for pregnancy. Since most antidepressants need to be weaned off of, you can't wait till BFP and then go to the doc at that time, you have to have this hashed out in advance of
I have actually read about that medication before and it's been around for quite some time as an aid in stopping alcohol abuse (since it really does seem to inhibit cravings of all sorts) so it's just being used for a new purpose now. This is good because no one should ever go on a NEW medication if you can at all help it since they won't know all the side effects right from the start - since this is simply a new application it is safer than some brand new thing they've come up with. :)

Hello Atomic,
I am back and ready to learn more about how to sway pink. I do have a few questions from last time.
1. Who prescribes clomid? Family doctor or fertility specialist?
2. How long should I be on clomid before ttc? Should I be on it when I start my 12 week away diet?
3. I had a failed pink sway 2 years ago. Should I go on the pcos sway diet now? I'm thinking of purchasing a coach and personalized diet this time.
4. How important is exercise cardio while swaying pink?
Thank you,

1)Either. Some family docs and OB's are reluctant to prescribe it and will make you go to the fertility doc, but many others hand it out relatively freely.
If you were thinking of asking for it, that's probably not a good idea. For some reason, while sometimes doctors will hand out Clomid like Tic-Tacs, at any point if a person wants it, they will decide to withhold it even in people who truly do need it to conceive. One of medicine's little mysteries. To get it, it's best to lay out your need for it without asking for it by name, and then they'll usually suggest it.
2) No, you take Clomid ONLY in months you plan to try.
3)I generally do recommend going onto the PCOS-type diet for those who have failed sways on standard LE and additionally with the extra weight, it's the right choice for you.
4)It's extremely important and mandatory for those who may have insulin resistance.
