Am i too 'acidic'
I decided this month to track my CM PH. Im surprised.. its is about PH 5! and this is in fertile window with ewcm and watery cm :( is my cm killing sperm and so its never getting up anywhere in first place? Online it says you should have a PH of 7! So i am worried and suspecting infertility because of this?? Can i do anything to help it?
*To add the way i am taking cm ph is by getting it on fingers n wiping on the test strip*

Well, the thing is that your vaginal pH is supposed to be quite low and so when you "test pH" you can't be totally sure if you're really testing your cervical mucus up inside (because remember I want you to stay out of your cervix!) or if it's mixing with the normally low vaginal pH.
Your pH will be higher up insde and then the semen acts as a high pH life raft that keeps the sperm alive till it gets where it needs to be.
I have really not ever found that naturally low pH ever prevented conception.

Hi atomic thanks im hoping thats the case that i mixed them up a bit. I got to be honest tho. I did test what would be my CM, didnt touch cervix, but did try and get some cm to test on finger and then from finger to strip.. i think i get what you mean and people do say you need a high ph naturally but i did freak out when i read online it needs to be 7 to be perfect and mine being 5 was a omg im miles off, maybe sperm is dying straight of bat & 0 getting up etc

It is not dying because the semen acts as a life raft.
I got pregnant with a pH of 4.5 to 5 that never went up till I was already pregnant. Most of the time when people think they have low pH what they really have is no CM. If you're seeing visible CM and it's stretchy or watery I would try not to worry because there are a lot of other things that are far, far more likely to be issues than pH. :)

Thank you Atomic. Im just going thru the time of it must be this or this or that! haha. only time & tests will tell i suppose and got to be patient and wait for those!
Quick other question if ok..
Can i carry on COQ10 (500mg) in 2WW?
and same with Vitamin E (400iu) thanks , just dont want to carry anything on thats potentially dangerous

Yes I understand it feels like we can fix a problem but we don't even know if there is a problem and it doesn't appear to be pH does much in our experiences anyway.
Yes please keep taking coq10 till BFP then gradually wean off.
I would immediately wean off that amount of Vit. E as it may be harmful to your health and to a future pregnancy. Way way way too much.https://www.nhs.uk/news/pregnancy-an...rom-vitamin-e/
