I think I am getting my first postpartum period but my diet has been horrible for months (vegetarian but high fat and cals). Is it more important to catch the first egg or have a better diet?

I honestly don't know for sure, but I do know that the time on diet is more proven than the first egg.
Thank you! Also, my husband just turned 35, how strict are you on the abstaining past 35?
It's your call to make. I had to set the cutoff date somewhere - there's no light switch that gets flipped that turns good sperm bad. It's just a gradual process over time that picks up speed with age. So if you're ok with it then it's very very likely to be no big deal, it's just that I prefer for you guys to not incur any level of risk for somehting that doesn't even sway to begin with.
