Hi and welcome. I have started temping before conceiving our son and am glad I did as I had very long cycles and that was the only thing that kept me on track with what was happening.
You need a BBT Thermometer (one that gives you two digits after the comma). I have the Babymad one from Amazon. Then you need to take your temp at the same time every morning in the same place (orally or vaginally). You need to do this before doing anything else, i.e. before toilet, drinking, talking, getting up). I have my thermometer on my bedside table to minimise movement. Later you can then enter your details into FertilityFriend (FF short). I have sent you the link. FF pretty much does all the work for you and will confirm that ovulation has happened after 3 consecutive days of raised temps. There is a brilliant charting course on FF too, I found this very helpful when I first started. On FF you can also enter any symptoms, CM, cervical position, meds, OPK's, etc.
Thank you Gecon. That is a great help. I will have a look now.
I think GeCon told you everything you need to know! Good luck!!
Fertilityfriend.com is a great site for charting your temps, it does all the work for you!!!!! Make sure and take your temp before you get out of bed, try to move as little as possible and don't talk as these things can raise your BBT. Also I find that takng your temp vaginally is best, hope this helps....
How many boys have you BTW?
Thanks for your replies.
I have 3 sons.Plenty of :bluesperm: floating around here so hoping to change that lol.
