Hi,
I come from my first attempt in FARAH. It 's is BFN after one xy on day 3.
First, I want to say that the staff is Farah is friendly and the price is an advantage.
But I have some questions:
1) transfer on day 3; is that good? I think that Dr Potter don't advise the transfer on day 3
2) 11 eggs but only 5 embryos of 3 days, I have 3 abnormal embryos, ( we have 32 y). I don't understand the results...
I hope to find a solution to have a better results on second attempt...
What do you think..

I have never heard of a day 3 transfer with PGD. They biopsy on day 3 and day 4 transfer is possible but typically, it is done on day 5 at blast stage. So, I don't see how a day 3 transfer is possible with a biopsy.
For your age, 32, 5 embryos is very low. What protocol and dosage were you one? I am sorry about your BFN.

My protocole is a long protocole: sprefact from day 21 and menopur 10 days... I had 11 eggs but I think it's not a good result...normally I must to go to dr Savvas but I hsitate for the price....
Do you think that it's possible that I have always a bfn for the futur attempts?

I think I don't understand what happened exactly. Day 3 transfer does not go with GS.
I think you may have been too suppressed but I don't know what your pretesting looked like. If you had normal pretesting, you need a change in protocol.

Lou I'm sorry it didn't work....you never know if you will be a OHW and wich clinic is the best. I went to Savvas the first time (perfect pre testing, both very firtile) and it didn't work for us (He does day 3 biopsy and day 5 transfer)... Our second attempt is soon, 5 April egg retrieval and hopefully 11 April transfer. Hugs for you!

In Farah they indeed do transfer at day 3, just after the biopsy. And still they are the clinic in the world which has most experience with pgd, and, according to a gynecologist I met here in France, the best. Desire4Magnolia, Saira, Krazny and Roze Strikje on the other site have had BFP (all OHWs).
I also wonder why other clinics do it at day 5.

I really don't think it is the number of eggs that counts, but the quality. A friend of mine just comes back from Farah, 36 years old, short protocol (Gonal-F). She had 14 eggs retrieved, 10 fertilised, 7 abnormals or undetermined, but 3 TYPE1 embryos: 1 XX and 2 XY. She transferred the only XX. BFN, but she also discovered, with the blood test for pregnancy, that she has a very recent CMV virus infection. Don't know if this has had an influence.

I know that Marie the importnat is the quality of the eggs ...but if you have 10 eggs...the most of them are abnormal en than it's possible to have no transfer....and than it's very difficult...
I have send a message to Farah to say that it was negative but I don't have receive a response...
I wait for miscrosort in Farah...but the distance is difficult ....
My specialist PMA says me that the transfer on day 5 is better....I will phone to Farah to have a feed back....

Hi Lou,
please keep us posted, me too I want to know why they do transfer at day 3 and not at day 5.
But still I think you are good in Farah, there have been quite some BFPs with them in the past on the forums.

I think it is impossible to have a biopsy, analyze the cell and transfer on day 3. That is not the way it works for GS at all. Day 4 is possible if they have a lab onsite and do an afternoon transfer but I have never seen a day 3 transfer with GS before.
