Hi again Ladies, another question for all the experts out there! Last month on CD11 I had a small amount of spotting just once when I wiped and it coincided with positive OPK's and ovary pain. This was the first time I had ever spotted at ovulation.
This month I am now on CD12 and have been testing with OPK's since CD7 and they have all been negative including today. However, this morning I had the same small amount of spotting when I went to the loo but no ovary pain or other symptoms. I have been ovulating around CD11-12 lately so was expecting positive OPK's by now as I always get a fade in.
Now, I have had the spotting I'm not sure whether to DTD tonight just in case as I had read there can be ovulation spotting when the egg is released. The OPK's are definitely negative and no sign of a fade in. I have been testing twice a day as well so I don't miss any surge.
Looking forward to other ladies experiences!

Argh I'm sorry, I just saw this.
I would always have people make an attempt if they think they may be ovulating, and this is especially true for those of us in our late 30's and beyond. I suspect the spotting was probably not from O spotting (this month) due to lack of pos OPK, but you never know, you can get false negatives with OPK.
My suspicion would be that you'll O in a couple days but do def. have an attempt if you didn't already!!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Thanks so much Atomic! I have read enough of your sage advice to know that you would have recommended to BD so we made out attempt last night. DH has been away for work for 5 days so was only a 5 day abstain. Didn't plan the sway this way, however we shall wait and see.
Once again, thanks for taking the time to reply and confirming what I thought you would advice!

Once again Atomic your advice was spot on!
Hey Atomic, you mentioned the spotting was most likey hormonal rather than ovulation and you were right! Finally had a postive OPK today on CD14. I didn't take vitex this month as I dropped the glass bottle and it broke, I saw it as a sign as I was debating whether to continue with it so didn't buy another jar of it.
When taking the vitex I was ovulating around CD11-12 so a little later this month. My question now is should I BD again? We BD 24hrs before I found the positive, however I didn't test last night so could have been positive then which would mean we BD on day of positive opk after 5 day abstain.
I had cramping on the left very early this morning also.
I am only doing diet in my sway now....it has slowly been whittled down to just diet over 6 cycles.
Thanks again Atomic!

Hey, 4 day abstain got me my DD! I really don't think the frequency stuff sways by much.
Since (I ~think~ and please forgive me if I have you confused with someone else) you are older and also because you've been TTC for awhile now, I would always have you attempt again to up odds of conception. We gotta catch that egg!!
If someone is 22 years old, I'd tell them to stick with one attempt. So either way, I think you did the right thing.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
