I have a couple more questions, sorry!!
First one, i lost almost a stone and am down to just over 7 stone (am only 5 foot!!) I lost the weight over 2 months from mid april to mid june and have been staying steady at the same weight. I don't think i can afford to lose anymore. i know losing weight is girl friendly, but i lost it a while ago and haven't ttc yet - am going to start in the next week or so. Does staying at the lower weight, but not losing anymore still considered swaying for girl? Or do you need to lose it while ttc?
Ok, second one... can someone point me in the right direction as am sure it must be on here somewhere!! I've been trying to explain to dh about swaying and diet. He's not too bothered and thinks it's all a waste of time!! Anyway, i tried to explain about the le diet and told him that boys are conceived when the mother eats lots of nutritious food etc and girls are the opposite. Anyway, i told him that the numbers of boys and girls born are equal around the world. Not sure if i got this bit right!! He then asked why are there not more girls born in developing countries and i couldn't answer him. Can someone here give me a quick answer or post a link up where i can find the answer. I just want to shut him up!!
Thank you xx

Yes, staying at a lower weight after you've lost some still sways pink. You do not need to be actively losing while TTC (and in fact people have ruined their sways by trying to gain weight back to relose it.)
There actually are more girls born in developing countries. The gender ratio drops from 106-100 in first world countries to as low as 102-100 in poorer ones.
Also, the level of food we eat in modern countries is higher than has ever been seen before anywhere in human existence. The diets people eat in developing countries is much more "normal", historically speaking. We are not "meant" to eat 2500 cals a day and have meat, fresh fruits and vegetables at every meal. Most of the time humans and our primate ancestors were existing on very limited diets and not a lot of calories. Aside from that, in developing countries, people don't get the same amount/quality of food anyway. There are rich people, poor people, and everything in between - you can't extrapolate the trend for an individual to the society as a whole because for every person who's in declining condition, there are others who are living high on the hog.
Additionally if you've eaten the same diet day in and day out for yoru whole life, even if it's only 1500 cals a day, your body will not interpret that as any sort of change in condition, it's what seems normal and all one's bodily functions have learned to function efficiently at that caloric intake. Whereas going from eating 2500 cals a day to eating 1500 cals a day, your body takes notice of that sort of change!!
I need to write an essay about this, it's a great question and many have asked it.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
