Promethazine is Phenergan here in the United States and I was on it for all 3 prior pregnancies and am on it now for this one. I have been given it by different doctors and in the hospital in Labor/Delivery, it is very safe.

Promethazine is considered pregnancy category C in the US. Probably safe, but not enough info to be certain. My OB prescribes Zofran instead, which costs more, but is category B. It worked pretty well for me.
