Hey Ladies,
Just a little worried, I had severe morning (all day) sickness with my boys, so much so that I lost over 10kg each pregnancy. Early on I could keep nothing down and wouldn't leave my house without a bucket.
I am only 5 weeks but I don't feel anything, maybe a tiny bit queasy but that is it. If I didn't know I was pregnant I wouldn't worry about it.
I am taking a Vit B complex with high B6, I took it to extend my leuteal phase but have kept on it and am now wondering if this is why I am not getting sick.
Does the B6 take away all the sickness, or is it just too early. Can you have 3 really bad morning sick pregnancies and then get nothing? I do know this little one is a girl, if that makes a difference.
Thanks![]()

B6 is supposed to help. You are very early so there's a good chance it just hasn't hit yet! Or maybe you'll be lucky this time'n

Its possible to have a pregnancy without sickness even after suffering from it previously. I know people that have been lucky like that. But its usually the case that it gets worse with progressive pregnancies.
Its still pretty early. Mine usually hits dead on 6wks. Little waves of nausea and queasiness before that but 6wks is proper start. Weeks 8-10 are usually the worst and then from about week 11-12 it starts to improve. The only time I haven't been dying from hyperemesis was when I had the Down's miscarriage, I guess bc my HCG levels were on the low side. I get it really bad too - hospitalisation for rehydration, tonnes of meds etc etc. I was bad with the twins but this time I lost 6kgs in the first trimester despite the Zofran, Maxalon etc... which stop the actual vomiting (so at least I could leave the house) but they don't stop the nausea. Which means I didn't eat much....
However, I did find that the Vit B6 helped a bit. But I had to take at least 125mg of it at bedtime. Didn't work if I took it during the day and it must be in one big hit - not spread out over time. I'd tried it with previous pregnancies but was only taking 1 x 25mg tablet 3 or 4 times a day. It that didn't work but the big dose at night did.
The other thing that worked to take the edge off the nausea this time is acupuncture needles in one ear. My acupuncturist used these flat needles and taped it in my ear and it stayed in between apptmts. I took it out once and had an awful 24hrs before I could get back in to get it replaced.
Don't get me wrong - neither is a perfect solution and I was functioning WELL below par. But of all the things I've tried - foods, teas, lollipops, sea bands, hypnosis, and every anti-emetic known to man - the vit b6 and ear needles were the only two that actually impacted the nausea. Oh, and phenergan. When I just couldn't take anymore I'd farm the kids out and knock myself out with phenergan just to get a break! Good luck G. MMxStep(17)

My MS didn't hit until 7.5 weeks this time around! It's been about the same as it was with my boys. I have reverse morning sickness. I wake up actually feeling ok which is good because I can get out for a run first thing which helps stave off the nausea a bit longer. But then from 2 pm til 4 in the morning it's pretty bad. 9 pm to midnight is downright miserable. B-6 never helped with my other pregnancies but I'll have to try MMs suggestion and do it all in one big dose. I lost 7 lbs my first pregnancy, 2 lbs my second, and this one I haven't lost any. In fact I've managed to gain one lb!! Woohoo!! I think this time around I'm not throwing up (yet- I had really bad reflux with DS2 which caused me to vomit my entire pregnancy!), so I've maintained my weight. I can feel the reflux creeping in again so we'll see!!
There is a wives tale that says the more difficult the conception, the easier the pregnancy and vice versa. Given how hard it was to get your DD around, maybe you're due an easy pregnancy!!Proud Mom to my gorgeous2008, and
2010. Lights of my life!!

I like the OWT that says 'difficult pregnancy - easy baby'. Was certainly true with my twins and if it holds true again this time, then given how awful this pregnancy has been, my DD will be a total angel who never cries and sleeps for 7-8hrs a night from birth!
