Testosterone too hight for TTC Blue???

Hey ladies - I'm a lurker for the most part but found the whole swaying idea when I joined IG years ago after I had my DD3. I was Sari on IG.

I have started reading everything I can about the Gender Dreaming philosophy and I think their is a lot of merit in this method.

I'm trying to sway for blue. I have been doing the no dairy, no chocolate, low sugar & high protein/carb/fruit/veggies diet. I bought an A-gender plan just before they sort of closed up shop so I'm trying to make it work.

I have naturally high testosterone levels, always have. I am super hairy and always have been...but I've noticed an increase since I have been on the diet, which is GOOD for TTC blue, but I honestly think its too high.

I have noticed that I am losing a lot of stands of hair regularly. I am not losing clumps of hair, but the strands seems to be coming out in a steady flow. I have all the other characteristics of high testosterone, but that is more of a normal thing as opposed to a result of a particular diet. I have a brother who has super high T as well. We are genetic twins. I have a strong Mediterranean heritage
as my grandmother is from southern Spain so the hairiness is not a huge surprise.

Does anyone know if Testosterone can be too high when TTC blue? I have scoured this website for all the info about testosterone and I can't seem to find anything that addresses too high T when TTC BLUE??

    Any help is GREATLY appreciated!!!

You are sweet! Yes, I have had both blood and saliva tests in the past and my testosterone has always been high. My younger brother has the same issue and he's a physician's assistant and he says we have all the characteristics of high T.

Thanks for the reply, I know this is an off the wall question.

No, I'm not nursing. DD3 is 4years old. I am still concerned but I think I am just going to sweat it out and hopefully get prego in the next few months.

My brother, the one with high T, says hair loss is normal when T is too high. It seems to have slowed down a little bit, not quite so much hair everywhere, so maybe it is related to my cycle as well as high T.

I was just hoping someone might have a idea about this. I haven't talked to a doctor. We have military medical and I am lucky to get an appointment when I really need it. I figure out most of my medical issues on my own.

I am so sorry, I read this thread and thought I answered it but I must have gotten interrupted. I answer q's in the Dream Members sections first, so if you need a quick response and you are a Dream Member, please post there.

Testosterone can't be too high for swaying blue, but it can be too high for conception. To keep T under control while swaying blue, I would avoid simple carbs (sugar, white flour, white rice) and limit grain intake to 2-3 servings of whole grains (and serving size is small, please be sure to follow the recommended serving size). Get your carbs more from fruits and vegetables and be sure to eat protein and carbs together for every meal and snack. Do not gain any weight. Exercise is a great idea and you should def. include it - both cardio (4-5 times a week for 45 min max) and weight lifting. This will help keep your blood sugar levels in a good range.

The first thing I would do is go to a doctor and get checked out because there can be other causes of hair loss aside from T levels that can affect your sway and your health.

Thanks Atomic, I just bought my dream membership yesterday so all is good! Thanks for your input!

Yesterday I was complaining to Hobbermittens about the misery I have experienced while swaying blue, she mentioned that almond milk was part of the HE diet so I gave in an had some almond milk and felt a lot better after that. I think I need some calcium, like you say in the HE diet so I am incorporating that as I have avoided almost all calcium up until now. I think that was contributing to my hair loss too. I am drinking 2 glasses a day which equates to 90% of the RDA of calcium, according to the container, but when I am not swaying I eat a lot more calcium than that so I'm going to have to have some or I'll feel lousy.

Hobber had mentioned the carb/protein combo and how important it is so I have done that all along.

Like I mentioned earlier, I am trying to follow the a-gender diet, because I paid plenty for it last year before they shut down, but it just isn't enough. As I have read about the HE diet, it makes a lot of sense to me and I have started incorporating ideas from the HE to what I am doing. I have stayed away from grains per the a-gender diet, and I can only eat white rice, corn, potatoes, etc because I am gluten intolerant. I learned that from a lot of physical issues a few years ago....what I do, or don't, eat has a massive and quick impact on my body.

I have gained a little weight, maybe 2 -3 pounds, (I don't use a scale, but I can tell). I'll watch it more carefully now...I am just not used to eating so often, I have no doubt why I have 3 girls, my normal diet is the LE diet to the max!! I've been riding bikes or walking with my girls to school so I am getting some exercise in. I can up that amount over the next few weeks.

I drank my almond milk this morning and I feel much better today than I have felt over the last few days.

If all stays on track I should have my first attempt around the beginning of November so fingers crossed this improvements will make the difference.

    Thanks again Atomic!!

In that case i want you to be extra-diligent about increasing your protein intake. If you have unusually high levels of testosterone, the WORST thing you can do is load up on those quick-burning carbs like potatoes, corn, and white rice. It's really going to be terrible for you and is probably contributing to your feeling not so hot. I suspect the almond milk is helping not only because of the calcium, but because it has enough protein to help stabilize your blood sugar.

I will be extra careful about protein. I usually eat walnuts or beef jerky or lunch meat during the day.

I will be careful about the potatoes, corn and white rice. For whatever reason I only find myself eating those at dinner. I do eat cereal in the morning but I am just not a huge carb fan for the most part.

As always, thanks Atomic, your advice is much appreciated!
