It's one of those things you need to experiment with and see what works for you. Best to start off with a minimal dose and work up if you need it. I assume you're taking it to lengthen your LP?

I would suggest starting with 50mg after O the first cycle. If that doesn't do anything, try taking it throughout the month next cycle. If it's STILL not doing anything then try increasing the amount in the luteal phase only but keeping 50mg from AF-O.

Don't ever go above 200mg absolute MAX daily as it can cause nerve damage. Oh, and you are ok with it possibly swaying blue, right?

Looking back at my old notes from the last time I tried to TTC, I took B6 to lengthen my LP and in the month we conceived I took 50mg AF-O, then 100mg in the LP. You might consider taking the B6 as part of a B-complex as it helps absorbancy, but all B vits sway blue so you'll have to take that into consideration.

i'd start with the lowest dose you can find and see if it works.

I personally don't even think you should take it since you dont' even know if you have a short LP

and I personally think you should take it all month long, it seems to work best for most people after taking it for awhile - just taking it in the LP may not work for you.

Nope. It's barely enough to do anything besides making the multi sound like it's covering all your required vits. 50mg is the minimal dosage of B6 to be therapeutic, so don't worry at all about that tiny amount swaying anything.

Oh my apologies, I see you're swaying blue. I assumed you were a pink swayer, oops!

Anyways, if you want to use B6 to help your LP then you'll need to get a standalone B6 supp. The 2mg really won't do anything. B6 is absorbed best in conjunction with other B vits, particularly B12. Many find it easiest to just take a B50 complex and call it done.

So in your case I would say start with the B50, throughout the month, and if you're trying to fix an LP issue too and you find that's not enough then add extra B6 on top of the B50 complex until you're happy with the results.

LP = luteal phase (the time from O-AF, also known as the 2 week wait or 2WW)

Yes the B-50complex counts as B6. If you decide to up the B6 make sure you count that you already have 50mg in the B50. The maximum daily dosage of B6 is 200mg daily, never go over that or you can risk nerve damage. But as usual start with minimum amounts and only increase if you feel you must.
