I've seen people write about having cheat weekends at the start of af, and just wondered what everyone's thoughts were on this.. If I get a bfn this week then xmas day will be 14 dpo, and I'd be due to start af around then anyway. Would it be ok to have a couple of cheat days on xmas and boxing day? And what exactly is a cheat day - eat whatever the hell you want, or just relax a bit while still being cautious about what/how you eat. I think I'd still skip breakfast and maybe have a teeny tiny lunch followed by a big xmas dinner, but I'll keep my portions smallThe thing is we are having xmas at our house this year so I have some family arriving this weekend and most likely staying for the week, so it's gonna be really hard to explain why I'm eating differently to everyone else for the week. Timing wise it is the best week though as it will be 1st week of af, I just don't want to undo the last 6 weeks of hardcore LE dieting. I'm not so much worried about it being xmas, I can be very disciplined when I want, I'm more concerned about having lots of family over and managing to keep to my diet slyly in front of everyone! TIA x

When you cheat, make it as small as you can and try to keep within the day's total to the best of your ability.
Cheating on Christmas and Boxing Day is MANDATORY on LE Diet. Trying to totally deprive yourself never works in the long term so it's better to give yourself the permission to cheat within reason rather than going berserk and eating eveyrthing in sight.!!! For me, cheating usually involved restaurant eating or someone providing food at a home or work that I didn't know the precise values of. I still skipped breakfast, only ate twice in the day, still avoided meat. But perhaps at a restaurant meal I would have some spinach and artichoke with pita bread, some pasta and a salad ... likely over on sodium amounts, perhaps on fat, but okay in other aspects. Even with cheats, though, I stuck with the vegetarian, no-breakfast, no-snacking, only two meals principles, no matter what.

I had a cheat day yesterday which involved some miniature twix bars and a mini ready salted potato crisps. Yum! Today I'm back on the wagon though.
FOund out that the 6 weeks I've done properly on the diet I've lost 8 lbs! Which is amazing for me :P I usually loose 1-2 lbs a month on hardcore diets because of my PCOS2005

Thanks ladies. Looks like Xmas day will be a fun cheat day
I'm just now worried about the rest of the week and how I'll manage to stick to my LE meals without a million questions being asked. Eek. Let's hope everyone's too caught up in the Xmas spirit to notice lol
