    Please help with diet

    Hello!

I am about to start the diet and I want to see if I on the right track. I plan on eating a breakfast, lunch, and dinner that contains protein, fruits, veggie, and possibly whole grains. I'll snack every 1-2 hours on protein/carb snack. Is this the correct timing for eating?

I'm also lost on snacks. All I can think of is banana (or other fruit) and peanut butter, V8 and peanuts, honey nut cheerios, and larabars. Any other ideas? I really don't want to eat nuts all day. that

Also is whole wheat toast and peanut butter sufficient for breakfast and bedtime snack? I really like peanut butter. Thanks so much!!

Any kind of meal is ok as long as you incorporate protein on every meal with carb. You can add beef steaks or roasted beef, or eggs or beans to your breakfast. For snacks, you can also try potatoe crisps, dried dates and dried apricots. Gdl

Sounds like you are on the right track, try to make breakfast quite big, toast with peanut butter is ok, i would slice up some banana to put ontop as well its yummy. Try not to have the same thing every day though, so after a few days having that change to something like an omlette or oats or smoothies, etc. Variety is really important on HE.

For me i would have a morning snack of fruit with nuts and afternoon snack would be yogurt with protein powder. Some other ideas are muffins, pancakes, tuna on crackers, boiled eggs, cheese and tomato on crackers, actually crackers are great because the toppings are endless.

You should be eating every 2 - 3 hours, just try to keep it fresh and healthy.

Just jumping in here - sorry! - but I'd like to know the answer to that too. However, I'm swaying pink and eating hummus everyday for lunch. I never tire from it and know lack of variety is good for pink. I know it's not one particular food that can sway, but just interested in the answer!

There are not any magic foods that sway like that. It is the overall pattern of diet that counts and not one type of food.

Hummus can be a great food for ttc boy, it has protein and carbs together and a lot of nutrition.

hummus is a good food for both blue and also pink.

Foods do not sway. High everything sways blue, low everything sways pink, and hummus can fit in with either diet.

Thanks. All this information is so helpful but overwhelming too. I've been researching for months and still get conflicted. I guess because there is no definitive information on swaying.

Wow Ive just realized that I need to jazz my diet up a little I do go for variety but not so much .. I'm co fused with the hummus that I got at home it contains 0g of protein!! Lol so I was quite confused on that one I do have salmon, tuna, meat curries, cheese and crackers is mine and DH fav.. But I stick to cereals sometimes oatmeal with peanut butter or egg beans and whole wheat toast in mornings, or omelettes at times.. But I have stuck to almonds and dates for mid morning snack and smoothie everyday, And larabar! I don't know if this is a good variety! Any good snack ideas I'm a cheese can love my cheese and crackers!

I do not eat a huge variety either, I don't have a ton of time to prepare different foods. I am going to start drinking protein shakes with fruit, crackers with different types of proteins (just bought roast beef), V8 and almonds. I will probably buy a variety of dried fruits too. GL to us all.
