Hey ladies,
Need some advice. Feeling really flu like nauseated, achy yuk. I also have bh that have become more regular and some are quite crampy and painful. I want this kid out bad but not like this, feeling so awful!!
My question is do you think it's some virus causing the bh to intensify or could it be actual labour making me feel this sick??
Did anyone else feel flu like when in labour??
I'll be 38 weeks tomorrow. My first son was 40+8 and my 2nd was 39+5
Thanks for any advice!!
Btw, my son threw up 3x 2 nights ago but had no other symtoms. I would assume that is what is going on bit that's all he had, no aches etc that I know of!:/

Oh no hun, it does sound like a tummy bug to me. I think sometimes us adults can suffer worse then the kids and being pregnant your immune system isnt running as normal so you will probably get things worse then others anyway. I hope it passes soon for you love, just try and keep hydrated whilst you still feel like drinking as getting too dehydrated could cause you to go into labour and Im sure you probably dont want that right now if you're sick
I was sick at 38 weeks with a mild tummy bug with DS2 and I also was having BH loads. I went to hospital and they gave me an injection to ease the nausea and gave me fluids and I was fine in a few hours. Ended up having my DS2 5 days later xx

If you think you have the flu, I would go get tested for it and see.

Are you sure your waters haven't broken? It sounds a bit like an infection which can be around baby, I would recommend talking to whoever is looking after your pregnancy and having a proper check, even a flu at this stage can be serious.

definately get checked out. I was very nauseous when in labour with DD, but apart from the contractions I was not feeling achy or like I had the flu at all. Get yourself to the doctor.

Thx ladies! Ended up having intense contractions thru the night, called the mom in but then the contractions stopped!!! I was sure that was it, sooo painful! So at least I got checked but still feel kinda crummy and now discouraged! I can't believe it didn't lead to anything!! Argggh

1cm:/ I assumed with the contractions I would have at least been 3... So dissapointing as they were super intense. I knew I would be sent home since they pretty much stopped but 1 cm?!? Grrrr
