Okay ladies I am really in need of your opinions. I have been working really hard to remember all that I can about my diet & life before my 4 kids. I do have 3 DS’s & 1 DD. Please bear with me as I go through all of this but the diet part is driving me crazy & I could really use a fresh perspective.
With my 1st Ds I would’ve been crazy stressed with work & my diet would’ve been mostly fast food I was def at my skinniest preconception weight but crazy busy & not LE buy any means. Also drank a fair amount of beer. After him is DD but I will come back to her.
With DS2 I lost a ton of weight doing a high protein diet but in the months right before he was conceived I switched to slim fast with a healthy dinner & weight loss had def slowed. I’m guessing that the extra vitamins in the shakes & healthy eating prob made me way to healthy. Also would have been consuming a fair amount of beef & salt. With him I was drinking wine quiet often.
With DS3 I was def at my heaviest weight. I was eating healthy low calorie & good choices some days & wanted to lose weight but most days my diet would have been way too high in calories with a lot of salt & a lot of beef. With this one I was again enjoying beer.
Brings me to DD with her I was on a high protein diet for a while. I eat only protein & light veggies. Mostly chicken & dairy & some beef. I was on stage 1 of the diet for longer than I was supposed to & my calories were way to low(def a young & dumb diet move). I had lost a ton of weight & was pretty close to my lowest weight. I had tons of Ice Tea with aspartame every day & had come off the BCP maybe 1or 2 months before. 2 weeks before we DTD for her I had an ovarian cyst rupture & had emergency surgery. She was conceived the only time we DTD which looking back must have been the night before O. Probably the least alcohol at this time cause it wasn’t allowed on the diet & I was very strict with following it.
Now I know high protein is not recommended but I have also seen many people say do the opposite of how you got your boys. Which she was the only one that I was currently on a very strict high protein diet for & again it was def way limitied. I also get that no one is a fortune teller hear but I would love your opinions. Do you think the diet was what helped me?? Or did I get a BFP with her in spite of it?? Did the emergency surgery have more of an effect??? Most importantly what would you do if you were in my place?? I need to start on my sway but I just cannot get this diet thing right in my head for me to move forward please any help would be sooooooo appreciated!!
Thank you!!

Hmmm well I would say the protein diet with her, you were low on calories? I lose weight very quickly on high protein so maybe you are like this too? So the diet could of helped you in that way. I think the one attempt helped to sway. And perhaps the surgery was stressful for your body.
Beyond that, I have no idea. I did 4 boys with all sorts of different scenarios so it IS difficult to look back and go A-HA!!! What you can do...is just go with what you know sways pink...the lower calorie diet, one attempt, and try to rupture another cyst (no I am kidding!!) Good luck xx

LOL, & thank you. The crazy part is I do actually have a cyst on each ovary at the moment.
Just so not sure what to do. Guess I will give LE a try & see how my weight loss goes. I know with protein only I will drop quick.
Ugh it is stressful deciding. What ever baby we are blessed with will be meant for us I just want to make sure either way I give the sway my best so I don't wind up with any nagging feelings.

For what its worth, I did high protein/high iron while ttc girl this time but I have no luck conceiving girls AT ALL, LOL but I did drop weight and what can you do but do your best.
If I had to absolutely say what to do...I would say do the LE. It sounds like you are able to adhere to a diet and understand the principles of it.

Hi again! I answered this more indepth in your other post already but just remember, it's your BODY that sways, the diets are just means to an end. You want declining maternal condition and lower fertility for TTC a girl, and you absolutely CAN get into declining condition even while eating meat. It's just that for most people, it's more reliable to drop meat. You don't HAVE to. I promise you can get a girl eating beef every day and you can get a boy eating nothing but cranberries - it's what your body is doing as a result of that diet that counts.
