    Started spotting DPO 8 :(

    Hi

Next month was to be my first attempt. I have been really well on the low everything diet and also have lost 6 pounds. I have my plan all set to start next month and now I have a super short luteal phase. I am supper disappointed right and I am feeling like I am out before I got to play in the game. I have been having short luteal phase and wacky cycles since I got my first PPAF back. last month my luteal phaase was about 10 days. I started taking b6 to help that.. guess it did not work. I do nurse my youngest son, but only twice a day for 5 mins each.

I guess I will be calling my OB tomorrow. Ugh!!!

Oh, I'm sorry! I know how disappointing that is. I just finished my first attempt this month to have the same thing happen! Spotting at 8dpo and it lasted until full af at about 12 dpo. I have a 25 mth old nursling. I started vitex to help regulate my cycle and we will see how that goes.

and...are you sure it wasn't implantation spotting?

hope you can get some answers and get into a more regular cycle. good luck!

I was wondering what is considered your first day of your cycle ... spotting days or actual flow? I am still spotting..

    Thank you!

That's what I was going to say...My imp dip was 8dpo. Hoping that's what this is for you. A test right now would most likely be neg since it's still sooo early.

I think the 1st day of your cycle is when you have the actual flow and not spotting.

Sending you lots of good thoughts, happyheart!

    Thank you!
Happyheart the boy diet had me start spotting pre-AF for the 1st time in my life, so I know how concerning it is when you go from never having it to suddenly seeing it. I started about 2-4 days before AF would arrive. OOB is 100% correct; the 1st day of FLOW is your actual 1st day of cycle. I called my OBGYN when I started having the spotting and they said so long as the TOTAL days bleeding (spotting + AF) did not exceed 8, they didn't consider it a cause of concern, even though it was a totally new thing for my cycle. It doesn't hurt to call yours and get their thoughts though!

FWIW it didn't prevent me from getting pregnant as I did that 1st try last month, LOL. FX next month is lucky for you!
