Thread: too much?

    too much?

    Hello, when I was researching supplements I read about all the things we could use. Went out and bought some. So is this too much?: already taking fertile cm, prenatal vitamins, vit c, b complex, vit d, probiotics, extra folic acid and planning to add fish oil, b6 (remove b complex?), epo, and royal jelly. I also do alka seltzer gold, v8, preseed, and mucinex so what do you think???
    Also, I read to take 1000 mg per day of fish oil and epo...but both are 1000 mg caps and directions say 3a day for a total of 3000 mg per day?? TIA!

    epo and fish oil...it's 1000mg per day of each so 2000mg combined.

    Nah not too much at all. It's a bit less than what I am taking.

    Daily:
    1500 mg fish oil
    2000 mg coconut oil
    2000iu Vitamin D
    Pre-natal - Elevit
    1000mg Royal Jelly
    2000 mg additional Folic acid
    50mg Ubiquinol (reduced form CoQ10)
    1000mcg B12
    200mg B6
    6 Capsules Premium Super Greens (25% wheatgrass, 25% Barley Grass, 33% Spirulina, 17% Chlorella)
    1 capsule Daily Probiotic
    2 capsules Resveratrol 100mg

    Twice daily
    Green Tea Capsule

    CD 9 - O
    Mucinex 1200mg x 2 per day
    Coconut Water x 2 per day
    Preseed

    And I drink V8, HE diet, protein shakes after weight training, etc....

    Thx pop...feels like so much lol! But I'll do what it takes. I'm on cycle day 6 but my cycles have been irregular with ov happening anywhere from day 10 to day 15 so I'm not sure when I want to start mucinex and preseed (Esp since preseed is expensive!) Do you do preseed every night it just with dtd?
    Why are the dosages we are recommended to take on the oils and such so much less than what's recommended on the label?
    And...last month we were both on zinc 50 mg. Is the recommended dose on the label and that's how much is in each tab. What is the danger here? I went ahead and cut back to half tab or whole every other day.
    One more *sigh....so much to think about*...my vit d was low on my labs in December. I was already taking 400 in prenatal and 1000 supp. I added 1000 more per day at that time. I recently learned about the fertility benefits. Maybe I'll get some extra sun the next week or so too?

    I know it seems like so much, right? Here's my list:

    Prenatal
    B-complex 100s
    Krill oil
    EPO
    Vitamin D (5000)
    Folic acid (4 x 1000)
    Ubiquinol (2 x 100)
    Royal jelly (350)
    Maca root (2 x 75)
    Probiotics
    Resveratrol (2 x 100)
    Vitex (2 x 400 AF - O) - Vitex is for a girl sway, but I added it in the last two cycles to help with my cycles (plus I'm not particularly fussed about gender, I just want a bub!)

    Also preseed (just a bit)

    I think that the B-complex is better than just the b6 on it's own. The Bs work better as a team And too much zinc is a bad thing - I'll see if I can find the thread talking about it. For the preseed, use just a little bit after AF, say every 3 days, just so it's in there and your body gets used to it. Then a little bit more just before you DTD.

    You should also be spacing out your folic acid...and IMO you should probably be spacing out the D too.

    the directions on bottles of fish oil, EPO and flaxseed are for people who are using them for medicinal purposes like lowering cholesterol. For gender swaying it is best to use no more than 1000 mg each and also be sure you are getting the same amount or more of fish oil, than you are EPO/flax.

    Higher than 500-750 mg Vit. C may not be safe, don't doubleup on the C. i like people to stick with 500

    I've been tracking with my fitness pal and I get an insane amount of vitamin C from food I eat. It is in my prenatal too. Should I be eating less vitamin C?

    and I took too much EPO last cycle. I took 1000 3x a day. I better switch that up quick!

    Thk you so much everybody!!! Yes, I am spacing all the folic out (total 2000mg/day) and just started spacing out the vit D. And I will keep the B complex and take it separate from the B6. I will definitely back the epo and fish oil to 1000mg (1 cap) per day. Yay! that helps lol! Vit C is safe. I have done a lot of research there. It's water soluble and people take mega doses for multiple medicinal purposes, even IV doses. Now, that being said, I have no idea what role it plays in gender sway! These things always make me nervous. I want to do ALL I can, but I want to do it right AND safe!!! so much to think about...

    I really wanted to try the maca but not sure about the amount of info about it (thk you atomic!). I would love to do the green caps though if I could find it. I added the green tea today but decided to just drink one strong cup per day.

    Atomic, I just read your awesome diet FAQ earlier today. Thk u so much!!! I am making healthier choices this month in my diet and increased my exercise as I had really fallen off the wagon in that department. Lifted weights and yoga yesterday, core strength 10min and flexibility 10min today.
    Thank you all so much for your time and input. It means so much to know others out there are jumping through similar hoops and care enough to respond.

    I take 1000MG of Vit D. and i have some in my Fish Oil and i drink Milk wit vit D which is 25% only. whats the most we can take of Vit D?

    Vitamin c from diet is fine, it's from supplements that can be dangerous to a pregnancy in high levels.
