I feel so stupid, I'm terrified I've done something really dangerous!
I'm 4+3 today and was out in the garden in the sun, and decided to spray the weeds along the path. I used a ready mixed weedkiller called Tumbleweed, wore gardening gloves and safety glasses. It's not windy so I don't think any sprayed onto me, but it did leak through the glove on one finger. I only used it for ten minutes max and washed my hands with hot water and soap afterwards to get rid of the stuff that leaked through onto my skin.
It was only after that I thought it might be dangerous so I googled it and found loads of scientific papers saying glyphosate causes birth defects and miscarriage! I can't bear to lose another baby, am I at risk do you think? Or is it only in huge doses (agricultural use) that it's dangerous? I can't seem to find anything referring to just domestic use.
I can't believe I've done something so stupid, just not used to being pregnant I guess. I'm freaking out about this. Does anyone know how harmful this is? Atomic have you read anything about this?
Thanks.

Only in huge doses and also later in gestation anyway. Your liver will get rid of all of that before it ever gets to the baby anyway.

Thank you atomic, once again you save my sanity!
There was so much about agricultural use but also mention of exposure during weeks 3-8 being the worst as it causes neural tube defects. I'm just hoping a one off won't do any harm.
I knew I'd worry excessively during this pregnancy but actually causing the worry myself is ridiculous!
Thanks. X
