Fetal heart rate isn't an indicator of gender. Here's a link to an article on IG that blows that theory completely out of the water: Fetal Heart Rate ~ Gender Prediction
Look at the graph - if there were a correlation between gender and fetal heart rate there would be two separate lines (one boy and one girl) starting at two different points, and there would be little/no crossover between the two. There are no lines that can be drawn anywhere in this graph as there are colored dots all over the place and therefore no correlation. It's just another OWT.
Sorry Lady D if you had your baby's heart rate and were hoping to find out gender.2012 (my sweetest little bug)

It was true for me. All my boys had a heart rate under 140. This pink one now has HB of 150 and over. But it's just my individual experience and certainly doesn't make this a scientific proof
My belly is particularly round this time too. With the boys it was smaller and more pointy.and finally my ht

All three of mine have been about the same. I thought it was an interesting wives tale, since it does seem that some people have trends in gender and heartbeat. But I think it's more coincidence than anything else. All three of my babies have been 170-180 at 12/13 weeks, 140-150ish by 30 weeks and remaining there til birth. I have two boys and one girl.
