EMERGENCY BD QUESTION

Hi everyone,
After Reading for some months quietly on this page I am amazed by your community, Atomic and all the other women and your knowledge and support for each other...
My DH and I are ttc a baby boy to complete our family (1 girl, 1 boy, 1 girl so far).
We have been doing EOD sort of and OPK. Yesterday at around 2 pm my opk was negative, though starting to fade in. Last night I didnt take one because I didn't think it could happen so fast. When I did another OPK with SMU at 9.45 this morning, it was positive. Now I don't know if last night would have been positive also... and am confused as to wait till tonight to BD or try to sneak an attempt in in the next few hours in case I have a short surge? We BD unprotected yesterday morning and I don't want to have just he one attempt... what would your experience be, when is it most likely to O after positive OPK?

If you BD yesterday morning I think you're fine waiting till tonight.

If you tested at 2pm yesterday and it was negative, and the pos came this morning, it's all good! You are just fine to BD tonight and have plenty of time. Tonight, tomorrow AM if you can, and then again the following night.

Hi atomic, Thank you so much for your quick response! So it is unlikely for the surge to have happened last night and ovulation taking place as soon as 12 hours later? I took another opk after just a 1 1/2 hour hold and it was lighter then the first one... how long dobI have to hold for the OpK to be reliable?

You can't tell when you've Oed on the basis of the color of your test strips. YOu can still get a positive and already have ovulated or you can have it go negative and still have not Oed yet.

It is not that likely. It's distantly possible but just not that likely. Much more likely that it was later on than that.
