We are looking to consult on IVF with PGD for next summer/fall. Until then, I was advised to not get pregnant since I just had two c-sections in 15 months. In preparation for IVF/PGD, am I better going on hormonal or using non hormonal birth control? I have PCOS. I just want to make sure I'm not going to do anything that may delay my dream for a girl any longer! Thanks!

Do whatever will keep you from having a kid! BCP is fine. You'll need to go off it for pretesting.

Do you know many cycles pre-testing that I would need to be off of it?

You finish a pack, be off for a full cycle and you may do them with that first natural AF. The pill AF isn't real because it's caused by a drop in hormones when you don't take the pill.

Thank you. I was assuming it would probably be a few months off of them. I don't want to get pregnant by "accident" and have another boy. I already have four (including my surprise boy 2 weeks ago...who was said to be a girl by ultrasound!).
