is used to preserve freshness...this isnt the potassium we should be consuming is it???? (its last on the ingredient list of a beef jerky package but ive noticed it on other things).

You're right Gizmo .... it isn't the same as what we are to eat ... it's a preservative. And it's OK to have, but it isn't part of our potassium intake.

BTW whenever something is listed very low down on an ingredient list, it's in such a small amount that you don't really need to worry about it.
