Sad Face Last minute hitch - please HELP!!

Girl sway plan all worked out to an absolute T - was even relaxed into it to keep T-levels low etc...was simply excited about DTD after AF this month lol (was looking at DTD on CD 12 - the 23rd of this month)...

Problem just arrived - Dentist filled my tooth yesterday and today I woke up with a swollen abscess and infection where the anesthetic injection had been done So been put on 10day course of Amoxicillin, plus Canesten (just cream, no pessaries - never need it inside) as I get a mild thrush with antibiotics...this means I'll still be taking the Antibiotics and canesten cream come CD 1 right through to CD 8. I was planning on taking SI days 2-7 and I'm on daily anti histamines due to weird allergy but to stop taking them while on Antibiotics (again thrush related).

pharmacist said the strength I'm on will prevent BC pill form working, I'm not on that anyway - but if BC sways pink and the Antibiotics stop it working, is that heavily swaying blue???

    My question is many fold:
    Will the anti-bs sway blue?
Will the lack of anti histamines sway blue?
What effect will canesten have and should we use if TTC (blue or pink)?
Will the cream and/or amoxicillin stop the SI from working?

Really starting to think we should leave our sway til next month now....very disappointed as stopped taking my vitex last month as advised by Atomic xxx. Hubby, in trying to be sympathetic said "doesn't matter if we wait, it's gonna be a boy anyway" lol I don't mind either way, just want to see if we can push my body into one more girl!! So he doesn't mind trying this month or next - seems it's just me freaking out....

PLEASE PLEASE help - if nothing else the stress is raising my t-levels no doubt x

For those who haven't read my plan - this is it (not pasted hubbys stuff that he's doing cos the Anti'bs won't affect him) - just thought I should add this to let you see if there will be any problems....

Chart cycle to confirm O day (believe to be CD12/13) June, July, Aug, September..TTC AFTER September AF.
Take 2000mcg Folic acid EVERY day
Follow LE Diet and Exercise 1hr every day
    Take 200mg Soy Isoflavones September CD2 – 7.
Use lavender EVERY day September CD1 – 20.
Use half applicator of RePhresh day before attempt
Use Durex “Play” Aloe Vera lube during DTD (claims to slow sperm down).
    Take antihistamine CD 1-20.

Have had to stop the exercise due to the pain as well...but still taking my supps and following diet x

antihistamines are said to sway blue; now I personally doubt that they do much at all but i did want to let you know that. I am pressed for time but I wanted to let you know it's not because they interfere with how the BCP work, that should be irrelevant and I will explain more when I have a few momehnts

No worries AS - just sat and had a heart to heart with hubby and we've decided to wait and try next cycle as we want to go for optimal pink chance and be able to say "we DID try everything" - and it'll stop me stressing about whether or not I've done things right....about antihistamine swaying blue? I thought was ok to take to help dry up cm? I mean, I need to use them anyway, but can stop for 48/72 hrs before DTD if it sways blue. And I'm not on BCP - we use natural family planning - so not a worry about what affects it (personally). Appreciate you getting back to us though - hugs from me and my hubby xx Oh - one last thing - should I start my vitex again? - stopped two weeks ago today (two weeks before cycle start) and stop two weeks before next cycle start?

Hi Coyle how have you been?

I am so sorry you have been having a hard time, but for what its worth I think you have done the right thing waiting till next month...mainly because you said you were pretty regular, and both you & DH pretty fertile too, so hopefully it will not take you long to fall pg! (unlike me boo)

And I totally understand you wanting to feel you have given it your best shot too, I feel the same way, that way if I get pg with a boy, then hopefully I will be able to think..well I did everything I could, so obviously he was just meant to be.

Re the anti-histamine thing in AS's post above....I could be wrong (atomic please correct me if I am) but I think this may be a typo. I think atomic probably meant to write that anti-biotics are said to sway blue, but probably the sway effect is only a little.

I am pretty sure anti-histamines do sway pink, so I think you will be fine with those...the only thing is, I think you are supposed to stop them after O (I cant remember the reason now, maybe atomic will remind us when she has more time) but I do remember you saying you need them for allergies right?...so maybe that would be ok in that case, Im not 100% sure on that.

Re the vitex, if you are still quite early in your current cycle, and you were previously planning on taking it the cycle before TTC, then I would probably just start now if I was you, and stop either CD12 or +opk, whichever comes first.

Hope that helps, and hope you are well (well apart from the tooth ) xxx

Oh PS. I must be imagining it, but I thought I had read somewhere that you had gotten your BFP? (I do hope you have not had an early loss or something ) its probably me just going mad and remembering wrong lol (wish I could blame it on baby brain but no such luck lol) x

ANTIBIOTIC is said to sway blue, not antihistamine. That's what I get for trying to answer a post with screaming baby...sorry will try to answer more fully when I have a mo

Thanks Coralsky - I'm doing well, thanks - hope all is good for you too xx

AF has actually decided to be late (Vitex related no doubt, as that happened last tim TTC) this month...last day of antibiotics tomorrow so even if AF shows up tomorrow, I don't need to start SI until two days away...worked out for the best in the end anyway lol seems I was stressing for nothing xxx

As for my BFP, someone congratulated me on having one - but I've not been TTC let alone POAS - so not sure what's going on there??? lol maybe just mixed me up with someone else xx

Thanks for all the info - very helpful xx

so just a hair more detail, IG claimed antibiotics sway blue but it's because of pH and supposedly they make more CM. Personally, I think that if you've been ill, that sways pink overall anyway so may want to take an antihistamine to dry up the CM (if you even see more)

You are overthinking the birth control - antibiotic connection. We honestly don't know what the effect on the SI woudl be, worst case is that they won't do anything, and so my thinking woudl be to just go for it.

My concern is that you are so uptight and overthinking everything, it can't be good for T levels or whatever it is that is swaying. there is nary one of these things that matters as much as you're imagining that it does (just having been sick probably sways more than any of the rest of it anyway.)

If you will hate yourself forever if you try this month and get a boy, then don't try. If you are ok with the possibility that it could be a boy (because remember, you may have gotten a girl this month and get a boy next month if you wait!!!) then try.

Hi I am fine too thanks, well apart from lots of BFNs still, but here's to next month lol!

Oh that's great it all seems to have worked out for the best in the end, I have everything crossed for you for next cycle

Re the BFP thing, I was thinking about it...did you start a thread in the "add your girl sway" section?...I thought I had read something there, but cant quite remember?...if so, I think this may be what is causing the confusion...I could be wrong, but my understanding is that this is for people who have gotten their BFP, and is to help with stats....
I think there is a separate section called "review my sway plan" but it may be in the members section...

But anyway, its no big deal so I wouldn't worry

FX for next month, keep me updated xxx
