Hi. I'm new to the forums, but have been lurking on and off for months now. I have some questions re girl sway and even though I have done a lot of reading im still very confused.
Firstly I'm a mummy to three boys 8. 5 and 2. The older two are from a different dad. So my confusion is this. I've read vegetarian diet sways girl as does soy and dairy consumption? I've been strict vegetarian for 15 years and eat soy as a meat substitute... All my children are boys.
From what I understand an hour glass type figure sways girl too? I'm all hour glass and hate my curves. Lol
I've also read abstaining sways girl. My first husband and I rarely DTD and with my first son we were using condoms and ran water through them afterwards to check for leaks. I also know for sure he wasn't releasing in BTW times. my first husband is now married again and has since had two girls! So this makes me assume I make boys?
With my first son I was my lowest adult weight and had recently lost weight. My second I had been working out and had gained muscle. My third I was heavier and not terribly active. I'm so confused. What will help me sway girl?
Sorry for the essay. I'm just very confused. Any insight you ladies can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Hi welcome to the forums! Probably the simplest way to put it is that it's mostly down to luck. If you think we each have roughly a 50/50 shot at either a boy or girl each pregnancy. Now think that each woman might be more likely to have a boy or girl depending on her diet/lifestyle etc.
So in your case, for example being vegetarian, and abstaining do increase your chances for a girl. Lets say it increases your chances of a girl to 70% from the 50% you started with (70% is just a random number I chose as an example, it's not possible to know real figures like this)
The point is that even with a 70% chance of a girl, you have a 30% chance of a boy. Even with a 99% chance of a girl you could still get that 1% and conceive another boy. No one just makes only boys or only girls, no matter how much it might feel or seem that way! And we have ladies on here with 6+ of the same gender in a row who go on to get their desired gender, so never lose hope!
The worst part of swaying is that you can do everything, have a perfect sway, yet just get unlucky. There's a ton of resources on the site, atomic is wonderful at helping ladies figure out the best plan of action for them personally, and I wish you tons of luck at getting your princess

don't worry nutinbut - sometimes technology sucks : )
Cassabirdy, I can't remember exactly what I put and the post has gone from my post section on my profile, so cant copy and paste, but was prob something like:
I am veggie too and have been since I was 5yrs old! I also have two boys : ) I have been on the diet now for about 8weeks and after recording what I am now eating I can see HUGE differences than from my diet before. Even though it was veggie it was very high fat and protein, and soy is quite high in protein. For me personally, I think this has gone a long way to me producing boys.
Also, you don't know what kind of lifestyle your ex now has or his new partner and it could be completely different from how it used to be.
Also, I LOVE dairy stuff and had a lot of cheese and milk with my boys, so I am cutting it right down for this attempt.
Losing muscle helps sway girl, so if you were working out then that builds muscle and sways boy. The diet will help you lose muscle as losing weight does this anyway, but additionally you can either do nothing and be a couch potato which you will lose muscle or do intense cardio (for 1hr per day, 6x per week ideally to lose muscle).
Atomic says that the diet is what sways the hardest, so my advice would be to read as much as you can about that.
Good luck and don't give up hope yet!

Firstly, you are thinking of swaying incorrectly. Swaying is not a light switch where if you do x,y,z you are then guaranteed a baby of a particular gender. All swaying is, is sending signals to your body about what gender baby has the best shot of survival. You may very well be getting lots of other signals at the same time that indicate otherwise, and aside from that luck has her own role to play. If ever it were possible for diet alone to sway gender 100% of the time, the entire human race would have died out a long time ago.
http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...s-swaying.html
http://genderdreaming.com/forum/tryi...-diet-faq.html
We know on the basis of studies, that vegetarian human women have more daughters than the population as a whole, that human women who take in less nutrients have more daughters, and that lots of various mammals who get more carbs and Omega 6 fats versus more protein and Omega 3/saturated fats, have more daughters. But it's NOT a macig bullet or guarantee and you may be more "set" for boys to begin with. Going from 80% likely to have a boy, to 75% likely, is huge in terms of altering the gender ratio, but it's still a heck of a lot of boys LOL.
Women have boys and girls at a wide array of body types. It's not your body type per se but the signals your body receives from a variety of different sources, your body type only one of dozens/hundreds. http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...irls-boys.html
Aside from that, it's more than just diet/body type anyway, there is also personality factors and all sorts of social cues that may sway more than diet anyway.
http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...ypothesis.html
No one "makes boys" or "makes girls". It's the signals your body receives and has received in your past that sway. You can change those signals, that's what swaying is all about. If there were people who could only make boys, the first time a war came along that killed off most of the guys which happened many times thorughout human history, that would be a genetic dead end and those genes would have died out a long time ago. People have the capability to make boys or girls depending on what baby has the best shot of survival, because that's the "smart" thing for your genes to do.
Since boys need more nutrients from the moment of conception thru life, we believe the best bet is to lose a little weight on a lower protein, lower fat, lower nutrient diet. It doesn't matter if you did that before and got a boy, there were very likely other signals your body was getting that swayed blue, and/or it may have just been luck.!!!
