AF and dtd

in my house, AF and DTD dont mix. my plan is to DTD every 4 days starting 2 mos prior to attempt. my periods are long, heavy-medium for about 5 days. i know that it says that releasing thru masterbation has less quality sperm or quantity and that it was better to release thru intercourse or something.
any suggestions? im esply concerned with releasing during my last AF prior to my first attempt. thats gross i just dont think i can do it during AF!!!!

what day do you usually OV on? maybe it wouldn't make a huge difference to not DTD during AF if OV is over a week away?

so far after charting 3 cycles i Ov on cd23, cd20, and cd19. so i guess i could manage without it then! i just thought i wanted to continuously keep up with the dtd every 4 day rhythm, get his sperm used to replenishing every 4 days, esply a couple weeks before attempt.

I don't think that once a month it woulde hurt to release through other ways other than sex?

Yes, it doesn't raise sperm count/testosterone as much as DTD via intercourse does but once a month is nothing to concern yourself over at all. Some people were habitually having DH relieve himself because they were afraid of getting pregnant and screwing up their timing.
