    Did you rush?

Sounds like a weird question. But it's something I have only recently realized. I was in a huge hurry to get my DG. Sometimes I wonder if my children-spacing would have been different if I got what I wanted when I wanted it.

I got that "must have baby" urge early in my child's life (like 4 months with my first, 6 with my second) and I wanted to conceive YESTERDAY. Lol. But I think a big part of it was wanting to conceive my DG. I mean, we wanted the kids we were having. Our number hasn't been affected at all. But I think the spacing might be. I've never desired a large gap, but I wonder if we would have waited longer if I got my DG on my second child.

Does it feel like you are in a race against some unknown clock? (Or am I insane )

Although my heart wanted her here sooner, logic took over the timeframe....DS2 was a reflux baby/FTT and under the care of a ped until he was 2.5. We discussed that before we would ttc for a third and final child, DS2 had to be out of the ped. care, stable with size and weight and figured that fall 2012 was our start date to ttc. As it turned out, I had a m/c right off the bat, gained weight and then postponed the ttcing until I was back into my fitness routine and at a healthier weight.

I guess that no is the answer you are looking for...but I have to say that it was hard seeing all my friends ttc and preggo...some with my DG and knowing that it might not happen for me.

After being told at 18 weeks, the prayed and swayed for "lady"bug is in my belly. Our Christmas gift comes with some health challenges, but I know that we are strong family and will celebrate her!

I am rushing a bit. I felt the need to want to ttc when my oldest was 5-6 months and when son two came I was pretty much ready to ttc then. I was previously convinced that he would be my girl though never even considered he might be a boy. I really don't know why I feel the need to try again so soon. Except that I just desperately want a daughter, and the sooner she gets here, the better. Hehe.

I started off very young and thinking there was plenty of time and then we had that huge age gap between my second and third son (13 years). I have a strong feeling that there were two separate times in there where I would have gotten girls had we TTC, once when I was under a good deal of stress and things were very difficult in a lot of ways, and another time where I lost over 30 lbs and exercised like a madwoman. but we never TTC then.

I did feel a lot of time pressure between DS 3 and 4, but ya see where that got me LOL. Oddly, after I had DS 4 I felt pretty calm about the whole thing - I felt like if it was meant to happen it was going to and clearly forcing it hadn't gotten me a daughter, so I just did LE Diet and waited patiently with the outcome in the hands of any higher power who happened to be listening and it worked out for me.

You are definitely not insane. I feel like I am in a rush to have another baby for my DG. I was with my first at about 5 months after he was born. With my second it was a little bit longer but I really had my hands full with the two boys. My husband was not for it which really was a blessing. My husband is on board for baby #3 now. We are both so antsy to have another baby but the realistic thinking comes into check with at least one of us before we jump the gun. I feel like we stress/wish so hard for a baby girl it about makes us nuts.

I was in a rush. We got pregnant with DD when DS2 was only eight months old. I did rush, but because of health issues with me, I'm glad we did, although sometimes the reality of a seventeen-month age gap is hard.

I always wanted a smaller gap. My twin brothers are only 13 months younger than me and we were always so close. I wanted that for my children although now I realise she doesn't really have much to do with that. Also my husband is much older than me, so I felt to fit in all the kids we want they will have to be quite close in age. But now we have 4 boys, and could possibly wait a couple of years, I don't want to wait. I just want to be pregnant (with a girl) even though my youngest is 10 weeks old
