I swayed for a boy using IG style both DW and DH. I lost weight, DH got sick with a horrible fever, and we got pink.I did see some good effects- which was tons and tons of ewcm and my cycles were predictable. We also did 3 attempts 0-3,0-1,and 0. I think the diet was horrible. We love DD2 though.
This time I am doing HE diet. I have been doing it for about 3 weeks now and plan to try next cycle to TTC. I am starting off at a low weight around 125 and a BMI of 18, so I know I have some gaining to do. I have been eating >2100 cal a day, around 95-100g/protein, and 9-11 servings of fruits and veggies, high fat dairy, fish oil, all kinds of meats, oats every morning and as a snack, royal jelly (had this from last sway), and a pre-natal. Adding in all of the fruits/veggies (in the form of green smoothies everyday with a combo of kale/romaine/celery/spinach/chia seeds/coconut oil) has made huge difference on my health already- no joint pain, sleeping better, a lot more energy.
I have been doing weights 2-3x a week (I know I need more, but I have already seen muscle change and definition) and although I haven't weighed myself (no scale), I can tell I have gained weight by the way clothing fits.
DH eats pretty much the same diet as me and is fit. He is under a lot of stress, but always has been.
I started tracking my nutrients and was surprised to see I wasn't getting enough calcium, even with all of these fruits/vegs/dairy. How important is this? I did some research and the one thing I could do is drink V-8 style tomato juice (which I loathe) to up the amount. I could eat more potatoes, etc, but I am enjoying eating high nutrient veggies. I know of the LE diet you recommend getting the minimum, but is it important on the HE to get the maximum?
I am not sure what else I can do. EWCM isn't as good as it was on the IG diet. It still exists, and is strong, clear and 3+ inches, usually by cd11 (cd13 is o day), but I have to go get it at the cervix. I am trying to drink 9+ units of water and green tea occasionally. Last time I tried green tea, it changed my cycle. I also want to avoid EPO for this reason, because I like my early O days. I think I will have some preseed for ttc too.
Anyway, what else am I missing? I know this is radically different from my normal low-protein/low-cal diet. I basically was too busy to eat. I lost weight on the IG diet even though I was eating way way way way too much fat and crap. I think the loss of the whole grains and carbs in the form of sugar and bread did it for me. But it didn't ruin my fertility either.
I'd love some tips and support if you see any holes (also, sodium isn't as high because I am not eating processed foods. Basically nothing I eat is packaged/ highly processed)

HI! Don't know how much help I can be but I will try! I did the HE diet with a successful boy sway! It was a complete change from my lifestyle/diet that I had when DD was conceived! A few things you might want to add are EGGS! I ate eggs like crazy and from what I have noticed they seem to be a popular common denominator in all the successful boy sways I am noticing. That and lemon water. Try adding some lemon to your water. I also bought the cans of V8 and kept them in the fridge and had one every night. I find them more enjoyable when they aren't in the big bottle that you need to pour into a glass. In my opinion they taste different that way and much better. Grapefruit juice also helped increase my EWCM and you can also buy some preseed. There has been a lot of success with ladies using preseed for their sway especially when they are lacking in EWCM. Try and make sure you are having sex every 2-4 days to up your hubby's sperm count and sperm health! I can't think of anything else right now .. hope that helped a bit!

Your diet looks great!! Brilliant.
Re the calcium, it's great to get 100% DRV of calcium but as long as you're getting SOME, that's the important thing. I don't want blue swayers to cut out calcium all togther.
But as I read your message I wonder if you're not talking about potassium instead?? And in that, while everyone needs the minimum amount of potassium for their health, I do not believe that potassium in and of itself sways - so I don't think you need sky high potassium intake to conceive a boy. Your diet looks fantastic and it is FINE if you do not hit the potassium max on IGD/FGD - while it's doable via diet, it's easiest with the V8 juice and if you hate that, then there's no need to be miserable!! Potatoes are great too but they are fattening. The other option is coconut water which has a ton of potassium in it. But don't feel like you need to hit that maximum as long as you're getting adequate potassium for health.
Weights 3x a week is GREAT!! Don't even worry about it, some is better than none and it's also better than overexercise!!!
with leaving out green tea and EPO if they fudged with your cycle before. Some people do seem to report a bit less EWCM on HE Diet while others report more. I haven't seen any correlation in gender conceived between people who say they have less CM on HE...they still go onto get boys, and some people who had seemingly tons of EWCM on IG got girl opposites. I def recommend Preseed and then of course there's also Robi/Muci if you wanted to go that route. With one of my boys I had NO CM at all and my pH was 4.5!!! I didn't even know I ovulated because I saw no signs and I was checking pH 2-3 times a day (this was my IG opposite)
I woudl def. add extra Vitamin D and probiotic. I know both were listed on IG as being pink-friendly but we are getting great results with them for blue. Probiotics were the only thing we ever used with pink sways that got worse than 50-50 even with otherwise good pink sways and I strongly recommend them for blue now. Also any other supps for you and DH???
What is DH doing in terms of release?? I would have him be releasing either on his own or with you every 2-4 days (and I think it's ok to have him release inside, the hormones in his semen may make you more boy-friendly, but of course that's up to you to decide.) Also great suggestions TTC prince - I always had eggs with all my boys and grapefruit juice is good for EWCM too. Also like the cans of V8 at room temperature better than cold V8 from the fridge!! thank you!!

Yes, I did mean potassium! Sorry! I have been trying to up it with V8 and food sources (pumpkin, potatoes, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, lentils, beans) and I am getting closer to 3500 a day. It is hard to track because a lot of sites don't list potassium, but I am almost there. I can't imagine that anyone who is eating as much as I am (of healthy foods) is getting enough potassium unless they live on coconut water.Everything I read about vitamins convinces me that eating your nutrients is the way to go. Apparently only 20% of a potassium supplement is absorbed- so it doesn't seem worth it to take a tablet.
I did buy some coconut water but it is so expensive! I will start using it in my green smoothies as this next cycle begins.
In terms of supps- I take a pre-natal, vit d drops, fish oil (high purity- Carlons, but switching to Nordic Naturals DHA soon), and Royal Jelly (bc I had some left over from IG sway). DH takes zinc, folic acid, fish oil and vit D. He eats the same diet as me, so should be getting nutrients from a good sway. He doesn't drink much (maybe 1x/week) and has 1-2 cup of coffee, but has started drinking green tea with me. I have a cup a few times a week.
DH and I try to have intercourse with an O every 3-4 days. If I am tired, we just do a release. I even was concerned that he didn't have enough sperm volume, but we last measured it and it was 5ml, which is perfect. He has been back in the gym (naturally a very muscular person) and he says his libido is way up. So that's nice.
I have no idea what my pH is, but when doing the IG diet, EWCM was somewhere around 6. DH was normal- maybe 7-8. I think my EWCM is enough and I am a bad water drinker, so upping that with some Robitussin should help. I took Robitussin with IG diet and had lots of EWCM, so that might have made the difference.
I bought pre-seed, too. I figure it can help coat the lining of the vaginal wall with a sperm friendly pH too.
Timing wise- with IG we dtd every 2 days and finished the night before O. I am very regular, so I was thinking about doing it 0-2,0-1, and 0. I get ewcm starting on 0-2, so that was going to be my goal.
I have a major question though. I am a spotter. With 1DD, I would spot from CD6 and on until LP ended )which was around 13 days. I didn't have spotting with DD2, but now I do again. I weaned DD2 around 1.5 months ago and it has started CD6. And it is very feint, not red, but light light brown and only when wiping.
I temp and my temps are still high. I have read that it can be a progesterone issue, but I think it is probably just me. I could have cysts, as my mom had a few that burst in her ovaries around my age, and that might cause the bleeding. I always ovulate and have very regular and predictable cycles of O day on 13 and 12 day LP with 5-6 days of spotting. It isn't enough for a pantyliner until 2 days before AF. I am concerned it will affect my sways- that maybe it is hormone related? But, I also don't know how to make it stop and it only took me 2 cycles (while spotting) to conceive DD1. 2 for DD2 as well. What do you think Atomic? Should I worry? I suppose it could be from prolactin from BF, but I also had this before I conceived my first DD. I think I tried VIT B with DD1, but it didn't help. I also get plenty of VIT B in my diet
anyway.
Also, I eat hardboiled eggs everyday.TTC Blue!
