So I never drink alcohol and don't exercise, but want to include both in my sway next month (~4.5 weeks away). I'm doing Walk Away the Pounds as my exercise and just started tonight. I want to start drinking one alcoholic drink a night as well. Is it ok to do my exercise at night and then drink my alcoholic drink afterwards or should I not mix the two? I could do my exercise in the morning instead if that would be more beneficial. I know alcohol lowers testosterone, but does that change if it is consumed immediately after working out? I did read something that says alcohol prevents muscle gain, which would be a good thing for a girl sway right?
I was reading this blog posting, which makes it look like alcohol intake doesn't do much when it comes to fat loss and muscle growth, as long as you keep your dietary fat intake low and that dry wine and spirits are better.

Atomic-- ok to drink alcohol after exercise?
Me: 35 years old. Was an infant nanny and birth and postpartum doula. Now a full time SAHM.

July 2016: Laproscopic surgery to remove a ping pong ball sized endometrioma on left ovary and 3 pea size fibroids on outside of uterus. Hysteroscopy to remove one larger "penetrating fibroid" inside uterus.
Oct 2016: Heartbroken after DH's vasectomy. Looks like my dreams of a daughter are gone.

Yes, you can drink alcohol after exercise, and I beseech you to not go poring over the internet looking for a magic bullet solution or how best to "optimize" your sway because that is the sort of thing that aggravates the Martha tendencies and I believe sways much stronger than any of these silly little details ever could.
Re alcohol and testosterone, we don't know how or why alcohol sways (other than reducing overall fertility, we aren't sure of the mechanism) so please don't read too much into that.
Exercise when it works best for you, and drink alcohol when you want it. You are going to have a much better rate of compliance if you do it that way and you avoid the control-freak mentality that is going to happen if you are trying to follow some tightly regimented and scheduled day plan.!!! Thanks Atomic! Just wanted to make sure it wasn't dangerous or anything. I did end up having a drink after my workout last night!
