Hi ladies,
My expected TTC date is getting closer and closer and I can already see my typical "boy mom" traits starting to shine through- basically plan, plan, plan- obsess, obsess, obsess
With both of my previous pregnancies I literally planned everything. I prepared/thought about/etc months in advance and even charted (even before TTC #1- I was convinced we would have trouble conceiving- we didn't). I also spent hours each day on fertility friend (a charting site), looking at my chart, chatting with the other women TTC,etc. Both times I got pregnant the first cycle and ended up with boys.
This time I'm trying to do everything in my power to help encourage a girl to come my way including starting the diet, and exercising 5-6 days a week. But I think I also need to figure out a way to just go with the flow and not obsess as from what I understand that sways blue.
So how have you all been doing it? Do you try to limit the time on this site? Or have you decided not to worry about that part of your personality? Or is it just me who is crazy like this.![]()

I don't know about anyone else, but it helped me to do a lot of research well before hand...then have a pretty set plan for how I want to do things. Then really try to stick to what I decided and not stress if a few little things happen that aren't totally "in plan." However, I know come June, I will probably be a bit nervous to have it all turn out ok
I still read on here and ask questions that I'm not sure about, but I feel confident in the plan I have made so it doesn't seem to stress me that much.

I have one DS and I'm exactly like you!! My plan for limiting my obsession is -
*still chart temps on fertility friend, but don't obsess about chart/over think it. Just put the temps in and move on with my day
*starting 2 weeks before my attempt, I'm going to completely stay away from this site. I will come back for the 2WW (and if I'm not pg, I will remove myself again when AF comes).
*starting 2 weeks before attempt, 0 facebook, 0 online forums of any kind and no googling about TTC. I can just check my email and get on pinterest if I open my computer. Same rules, I can get back online during 2WW.
*I'm going to be downloading some very light fun reading to read on my kindle/phone when I have downtime to fill the time I would have normally spent checking this site/googling TTC stuff, etc.
Good luck! It's hard for us crazy mega-planners to chill out!

Oh my gosh bluebonnet that is definitely me to a T.
I love this

But it sounds IMPOSSIBLE!Good ideas though I think I will try all of those as well. Except for FF, not sure I can put the temp in without staring at the chart for half an hour.

I'm laughing about how you said you thought you'd have trouble TTC before you conceived your son. I felt the same way!! I charted for 6 months before we even TTC and then we got pg on the first try! Glad I'm not the only one
This is bad but I'm going to have to uninstall facebook and tapatalk on my phone because I have 0 will power and I'm worried if the temptation is there I will be on those apps non-stop between AF and ovulation!
Have you read "canithappentome" 's sway? It's very inspiring. She got her girl and has fantastic ideas for lowering t levels. If I recall correctly she gave up all weighing, charting, temping, tracking of any kind for at least a month. So impressive! Wish I had that much will power! Just giving up this forum for a few weeks will be hard for me !

I didn't tell a soul that I was TTC and barely admitted it to myself!
I had long wondered what would have happened with my 3rd and 4th son if I"d just TTC without the planning and eating like a linebacker (with DS 3) and taking tons of supps (with DS 4). DS 2 was also planned and while DS 1 was a surprise, we were young and superhuman then. So I felt like, this time I'll get pg just doing LE Diet and staying chilled out about the whole thing, no hurry and no pressure. We will just DTD when we want and not to achieve a goal. It took me 6 months instead of the normal 1-2 that it did with the boys but she was a girl.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

I honestly could have written this post myself, I am exact same and am going to be TTC in July this year. I am terrified about the raising testosterone thing as i KNOW that no matter what I am going to be a worrier and overanalysing all the time, I just can't help it, do you reckon that means sway will be no good?? I am a Libra and that is def why I am the way I am, need major advise too!!

I'm gonna take my time. All my children some i planned and some i swayed with. I rushed into getting pregnant. Seeing friends, family around me having babies especially baby girls I was like I got to hurry and get my baby too. Just knowing my lifestyle is definitely boy friendly. Next sway I don't care it could take a while I'm not rushing into it. I'm basically researching now and trying to come up with a plan. Next sway at least I can say I gave it my all 101% instead of saying well there's a few things I shouldn't have done that actually swayed boy.
Mommy to 7finally had
#1 in 2016! Had boy #8 after. Now returning to try to sway for final child praying for
#2 🤞🙏
