its obvious if you eat a lot of salty things since you can taste it, but at least *i* cant taste potassium so i was wonderng if you boy moms wheether you swayed or not remember if you ate lots of things high in potassium? and low in magnesium? obviously you may not have KNOWN the content of what you were eating but now that you have all THIS info..what do you think?

Hi, what foods are high in potassium? I know bananas are and I never ate them. I have 2 boys!

I ate quite a lot of potatoes and meat (typical British diet lol) several main meals a week- cottage pie, fish pie, roast meals with roast potatoes, chips... also ate a lot of pasta and rice and lots of flavours. Most of my meals were main meals, even lunches... A big variety of foods always with plenty of vegetables. I've made sure I get my 5-a-day as my body really suffers if I don't (sorry!)
I also ate a variety of dried fruit and nuts every day, and very fond of my puddings (especially cake and chocolate).
Don't know which foods are high in potassium, though.

I ate a banana about 3-4 times a week.
Meat, potato and veg for suppers. Lunch was usually a sandwich of cheese, meat, veg. Breakfast was usually cereal. I didn't drink a lot of milk.
Not sure about what has potassium either.

Well, the funny thing with potassium is that it's in almost everything. So what I believe is happening is that since ~most~ of the boy moms are big eaters, they eat more potassium just on accident than other people who eat less food/less often.
I am quite certain I also ate tons of calcium and magnesium because I ate a lot of dairy/calcium with all four boys and I don't even really like salty foods that well. I used to (still do) eat 1/2 cup almonds every morning for breakfast (50% of the day's magnesium right there) without fail and had a boy while doing this and then had another boy while swaying and taking a big dose of both calcium and magnesium and avoiding sodium and potassium.!!! potatoes, tomatoes, bananas, avocado...most fruits and veg are quite high in potassium. Oddly, dairy is also very high in potassium.

I think I would echo what Atomic said, in that I pretty much ate a lot of everything (except perhaps sweet things - not a sweet/candy or cake fan usually) - so I probably did eat a lot of potassium but I also ate a fair bit of dairy (milk in my tea all day every day and 1 or 2 portions of cheese). I ate quite a lot of pasta and potatoes and lots of garlic and chilli based meals and fruit and yogurt (more calcium!) for snacks. I've never salted food but probably ate some pre packaged food which was oozing in it
