I appear to really be struggling w/my Potassium levels...I get only around 600ish and that's only if I'm drinking coconut water. Is it okay that I'm drinking that w/a pink sway? Should I be shooting to get at least 2,000 or more? Does anyone else have this problem or am I just eating weirdly?

I've never really checked mine, so can't really help! I think atomic said cocunut water was ok for either sway but I could be wrong!

I've never checked mine either but I do very often get a twitchy eye which I'm sure is a sign of low potassium - and I haven't excluded potatoes and tomatoes, so I guess 'low everything' means just that!

Thx, guys! I've just been feeling progressively worse the past 4 wks or so and I'm just wondering if I should be worried. I just started logging again to make sure my diet is on course and by the looks of things, that's the only thing I can see that stands out as far as making me ill. I'll continue to drink a bit of coconut water and maybe try to get a banana down here and there and see if that helps a bit.

I actually think coconut water is a great idea for either sway - for boy swayers it's a good source of potassium since they want extra potassium and for girl swayers it's a great way to get enough potassium without a ton of other nutrients.
Do be very very careful with potassium. I want you guys to be getting enough potassium because it's dangerous to not get enough.
PS - you CAN eat a banana too! Even a banana a day. Fruit is a great, low-protein and low sodium source of potassium.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
