In the 2ww evaluating our sway.

So things changed drastically when I switched from IG to GD swaying. Stopped the calcium and cranberry and the other supplements. I could stand to lose some weight and since starting the LE diet about a month ago (although I was doing a version of this for months prior without knowing) I've lost 10+lbs. I haven't eaten any potatoes or meat of any sort. I took Clomid CD 5-9, took folic acid and baby aspirin on top of the antidepressants I've been taking for years. I'm still breastfeeding our 18 month old twice a day or so. My issue is that there was a very sudden unexpected significant death in my family the Monday prior to ovulation (ovulated the day after the funeral). I am concerned about the amount of stress it caused and how that could effect my sway. I'm in the 2ww right now so we will see! Yesterday on 3DPO I started having weird menstrual cramps which hasn't ever happened in the past. Maybe related to the Clomid? And today my uterus feels "heavy" if that makes sense. Trying not to jinx myself but I'm hopeful. Any thoughts on the sway and stress effecting it?

    I'm sorry for your loss.
That kind off stress sways pink though.
Try not to put everything on a scale. Its the whole package that does the work. Not one thing.
    Hang in there.

Aaa sorry this one sneaked past me.

Stress does not sway blue. Things like deaths in the family (and I"m so sorry BTW) would only sway PINK.

You need to wean off baby aspirin right away. No aspirin while breastfeeding. Major no-no so please do what I say on this. It is not safe for your LO.

Clomid does cause all kinds of weird cramping and stuff so most likely related to that.

I don't think you can take aspirin and breastfeed...even the low dose. Clomid made me really crampy (or maybe just more vigilant, LOL)

Really?? Even Dr. Hale's Infant Risk center says it's fine. I'm a nurse and know about Reyes but everyone I asked and every source I found said it was fine. Well then, I'll be stopping that!image.jpg

A friend of mine was on aspirin after a mild stroke. She was told NO aspirin while breastfeeding.

    Pulled this off of drugs.com

    Aspirin Breastfeeding Warnings

Aspirin is excreted into human milk in small amounts. Peak milk salicylate levels have been reported at nine hours after maternal dosing (and measured at 1.1 mg/dL). Use of large doses of aspirin can result in rashes, platelet abnormalities, and bleeding in nursing infants. Because of a single case report of metabolic acidosis, the American Academy of Pediatrics characterizes aspirin as a drug that has been "associated with significant effects on some nursing infants and should be given to nursing mothers with caution."

WE are finding aspirin to come through the milk and cause extended bleeding times/bruising in breastfed babies. THis happened to me personally and so I prefer not to use it when nursing, babies are so prone to getting bumps and bruises. I was nursing two at the same time and took 2 or 3 aspirin in one week (nothing outrageous at all) and both my baby and my toddler (and I) were covered head to toe in bruises and my baby got the tiniest cut on his thumb and it bled shockingly for hours, then off and on for days after that. I had to keep it sealed shut with superglue because it would soak through a bandage.
