Hi! I'm not sure if/when to do another attempt. DH and I BD on Monday night. I was planning on BDing again Friday as I was planning on doing the every 4 days method as DH is 37 and I was getting confused about abstain and FR. Anyway, I got a positive OPK at around 3:30 today (Thursday). It was negative last night and almost positive at 11:30ish this morning. It was definitely positive at 3:30 as the test line was clearly darker than the control line. So, I am wondering if you would advise another attempt tonight, or tomorrow, being that last bd was Monday night? I'm not sure what to do so hoping for some input. Thanks!!!

I asked this same question earlier today and was advised to WAIT to BD until tomorrow... ONLY one attempt every 4 days for TTC GIRL

IMO, BD tonight is only upping your chances of having a boy...I would do as Atomic suggests and only DTD every four days no matter when you get a pos OPK Good Luck to ya

I can't decide and I'm so tired..I just want to go to sleep lol. Maybe I should just DTD early tomorrow morning so that it will be 3 1/2 days. What do you think?

opps did i get the timing wrong.
u mentioned last dtd is Monday night. so 4th day night should dtd. and now is Fri for me. Maybe time zone difference. Keep it to every 4days and once at 1st positive opk sighted. 5yrs old

so your first opk sighted is 3rd day? in this case, I won't suggest dtd again. Monday night attempt is good enough to catch the egg if this is your lucky month.
Dtd on the next day after 1st positive opk increase the odds of having boy. 5yrs old

I would definitely attempt again but wait until Friday night so it has been a full 4 days. UNLESS you had so little CM during your Monday attempt that you were uncomfortable or used non-sperm-friendly lube, in which case I would BD Friday morning early. But if you had enough CM, regardless of type (watery, creamy, egg white), I'd wait.
Have you been doing the diet strictly? For how long?
You may very well not O until Saturday or even later, so definitely do have another attempt IMO.

My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

Best odds of conception = another attempt
Best odds of pink = one attempt.
Thurs. is quite far from Mon and so my gut instinct would be to attempt again - so either way, whatever you did, it's all good either way.!!! Questions??
