    Help - I'm not Ovulating!

This is my fourth month TTC a little girl. I have been on the sway plan since May and I am really tiring out. I decided to go vegetarian in lieu of going LE (I tried LE and I could hardly function) and gave up exercise. I really, really miss my protein and exercise.
I have been skipping breakfast, I drink Crystal Light, and I take Baby Aspirin once every other day. I just turned 34 in September. I also take Spironolactone (50mg/day, just dropped from 100mg) for hair loss. The only other supplement I take is Folic Acid.
Every month, I take my BBT vaginally, use OPKs 2-3x a day from day 14 on (I have long cycles and never O before CD19 or so, but i had one fluke month when I O'd on day 14), and I check my CM and position.
My charts are all over the place. I haven't have EWCM in months and I doubt that I have ovulated more than 1 time in the past 3-4 months.
This month, DH and I started DTD a lot more to try and get pregnant. We had been doing 1x every 4 days since July, but we felt that wasn't enough.

How can I get my body back to ovulating? My insurance right now doesn't cover Clomid or fertility help, so I am wondering if there is a supplement I can add that is pink-friendly, or if I should buy Clomid online (which scares me and is a whole other post onto itself).

Please help. I really want to get pregnant soon or I fear I will fall off the sway or just give up all together. Thank you!

Is your doctor aware that you are TTC?? I think we discussed this already but most docs prefer people to come off spiro for 6 weeks in advance of TTC.

Do they even KNOW that your hair loss will be helped by the spiro?? A LOT of people have hair loss after having a baby that has nothing to do with testosterone and spirolactone may aggravate your lack of O if you don't need to take it.

I would have you doing 1 serv. full fat dairy every day, 6 eggs a week, one serving salmon per week. Since you've been on diet so long, I'd up protein to 50-60 g and raise fat intake more to 50-60 g a day as well. Add in zinc 8-15 mg 3x a week, lowest dose b12 you can find 1x a week, and iodine 150 IU daily unless you have thyroid problems in which case you need to discuss that wiht your doctor before starting iodine)

Why do you think you have not ovulated but once in the past several months? If you got AF about when you expected to, the odds are all but 100% that you ovulated, even if AF was light or different. When people really aren't ovulating, they go MONTHS iwthout getting a bleed. (I can't get your chart to load but would love to see it if you can repost.)

I don't think you ought to be taking Clomid till we have a handle on what is happening. ANd I really really don't want you taking it OR soy with the spiro.

A quick google search verified that yes, spiro does in fact mess up cycles and can delay ovulation. You need to stop the spiro before you start doing all this stuff to tweak your sway. Worrying about any of these other things when on the spiro is like flapping your arms to counteract gravity.

    Hi Atomic,

Yes, my doc is aware that I am TTC. She said that I am fine on the Spiro until I get a BFP, but I have been weaning gradually because I don't like what I have been reading online about it.

I have been losing hair for years and it just got worse with the kiddos. I was diagnosed with alopecia, which is hereditary. The Spiro has done a *wonderful* job getting my hair to grow back, so I am sad to be dropping it (but, I am more excited to have another baby )
I dropped from 100mg to 50mg (and got super nauseous and tired when I did so for the first week or so). I am going to step down to 25, then drop it all together in the next week. I will be off by my next cycle so I can try your tweaks!

I am fairly confident that I haven't O'd regularly because my charts are always missing something (temps, CM, position, + OPK, or the pains that I feel when I O), and some months are more like a heavy spotting instead of a full-on AF, which I know can be a 'false period' brought on by shed and not a 'true' period.

Yesterday (CD25) I got a *nearly* + OPK in the morning and a fainter one in the afternoon. By the evening, the test line was almost gone. My temp only went down 0.25 yesterday, and it rose a little today (but it was around 0.12 below the cover line). I think my body might be trying really hard to O, but it doesn't quite make it there.

    Thanks for your help!!

CM, CP, O pain, and even + opk are not guarantees of ovulation. My suspicion is that the spiro is making your charts wonky but that simply doesn't mean that you aren't ovulating. The only real way to know that is y having bloodwork done at the doctor's office. If you are having regular cycles with bleeding when it's "supposed" to happen, you're ~probably~ ovulating. Changes in hormone levels can cause very light AF (I had two in a row before I conceived my daughter, just like you're describing)

Here is the OP's chart: 3ebbd0 Fertility Charts

Last cycle you definitely Oed, FF looks right to me. This cycle it looks like you just Oed, again FF looks right to md. Why the discarded temp on CD29? Also, did you just switch to vaginal temping this cycle? Bc your overall temps are much higher this month.
