    Full sugar soda??

I am adding full sugar soda to my sway to add some easy calories, but I need to know how/when to drink it. I know this is my Martha side showing, but do we treat full sugar soda as snacking if we sip on them throughout the day? I need to drink three a day (450 cals) but I only eat twice a day, can I have one for breakfast without it setting me back any? Anyone have experience with this? I won't do diet sodas because Aspartame terrifies me and I NEED the calories as I've seem to have dropped to 950/day somehow.

Full sugar soda is good to add to a meal. If you sip on it all day long it keeps your blood sugar up
BUT, with that being said. It seems like you are not eating enough if you are only getting 950 calories a day with two meals! Do you know what your protein and fat intake are? I tried to do 2 meals a day each with 20 grams fat and 20 grams protein. I think each of my meals were around 900 calories. Please make sure you are eating enough. Don't starve yourself, it makes it harder to stick to the diet. Remember, it is LOW nutrition not NO nutrition

    Good Luck!

Yes, it is snacking if you drink them all day long. have with a meal.

You can have up to 3 meals a day so if you want one for breakfast, that is fine. But be sure you're having it at 10-12 and not any earlier than that.

but all that having been said, I DO NOT want you drinking 3 sodas a day. That is not going to get you adequate nutrition to get and stay pregnant and in fact is a STARVATION diet. You need to add at least some real live food in there!! IT's LOW everything, not NO everything.

Tell me what you're eating and I can tell you how to tweak it.

I eat three bananas at noon (300 cals) and two chicken salad sandwiches (650 cals) at 6. I get 30 grams of fat and I'm right on 40 grams for protein. I'm scared to add anything else besides empty calories because I am already hitting fat and protein on the nose.

When are you TTC? Are you doing the exercise?
You must be starving until dinner?? You could eat a grilled cheese for lunch with your bananas, use light margarine and you should still be within limits. Or a baked potato and canned green beans. A veggie version of a Lean Pocket(frozen pizza pocket) is quick and easy and they are less then 10 grams of fat usually
Even a salad with light dressing could up your calories with a small amount of fat.

I am sure atomic will check back in to give more advice. Please add more food into your diet, it won't hurt your sway:-D

QueenB3Blue - I second the recommendation for the Lean pockets. I'm so addicted to the 4 cheese one. During the last month of my sway I ate one probably 2-3 days a week for lunch.

Kitty - why those foods? chicken salad is loaded with protein and fat (probably why you're bumping up on the limits), and most swayers avoid bananas (I think they are fine to eat, but why 3 a day?)? I think you could eat more satisfying LE friendly foods and be more within limits for fat and protein while eating a lot more.

As for your original question, I typically "ate" 3 meals a day on LE (at least for my last month on it). Around 10:00 or 11:00 AM I'd have a full calorie soda or a non-fat latte. At 1:00/2:00 I'd have a lean pocket (or other vegetarian low fat meal <300 calories) and maybe some fat free microwave popcorn, then a sensible dinner around 6:30 or 7:00. If I was low on calories I'd add soda to my lunch. I typically drank alcohol with dinner for swaying purposes (and general enjoyment!).

QueenB3BLue- I'm TTC in February. I exercise every morning for 60-90 minutes. I'll have to go over my diet and figure out something. I prefer to eat the same foods everyday (even did this before swaying--my OCD). That way I don't need to calculate values and when I go shopping I know exactly what I need each week. Thanks for the ideas

bluebonnet22- I actually added chicken way back in August because I was only getting 6 grams of protein a day and that gave me enough protein. As time has gone on I've eliminated fatty foods without going back over how many calories I was getting- hence the reason I got down to so few. I eat bananas because they give me the energy to get through the afternoon without giving me any fat or protein to worry about.

I'd go fully vegetarian and eat a bit more, which can include 1-2 sodas a day. I usually drink one soda a day. I think the bananas are fine, personally, if not boring. Why not some toast with jam and fruit on the side for your first meal? Then some veggie pizza or a cheese sandwich with soup or salad ( or even both) , and add in a soda to either meal as necessary.

    My Ovulation Chart
currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP

you can have up to 60 g of fat and 50 g protein. You don't need to stick to the minimum of LE Diet, you can go up to the higher level too. If you upped protein just to 45 g and fat to 40 g, right away that is an additional 20 calories of protein and 90 calories of fat, and if you ate it in the form of something that contained carbs as well, you'd get even more calories from the carbs.

3 bananas and 2 sandwiches is NOT ENOUGH food for you.

This is a classic example of why I advise people to cut out meat when they can. There is a ton of protein in chicken and not many calories, so you quickly reach your limits on protein and then what do you eat for the rest of the day?? Chicken, bananas, and full sugar soda is a starvation diet. you will not be getting the adequate levels of nutrients eating that. Even if you had just one sandwich and then filled in with something else at dinner like rice or potato, you would then be able to eat something more at lunch than bananas!!

If you are exercising to that level you need to aim for the upper levels of LE Diet, not the lower. You are going to stop ovulation by the time February rolls around!!!
