Hey, as I said in my intro that I've been reading the forums for a while. I started trying after a loss in 2012 and aimed for around 1200-1300 cals, which was super difficult since I was used to overeating. My problems started when I took Vitex for around 4 months and I didn't ovulate on it, unless I took soya isoflavones along with it, then I ovulated at least a week late. I stopped taking them, but carried on with the diet. My cycles have always been a bit whacky since then.
I'm not sure whether it's due to eating mainly rubbish (chocolate, crisps, etc) and 1/2 meals a day. I was trying for around 8 months the first time around. This year I also tried in April, June, July and last month of this year. The supplements I'm taking are: vitamin B complex, cranberry, EPO and SI.

1200-1300 cals is TOO LOW for the vast majority of people. There is only a tiny majority that should ever drop that low. I would up cals.
Did you take vitex daily for months? That has stopped ovulation for tons of people.
I think soy iso messes up more people than it helps.
If you're not getting enough REAL food and too many carbs, that can also mess up ovulation.
I do not recommend B complex or cranberry for pink swayers. EPO we give almost exclusively to blue swayers and it also can delay/stop ovulation. I don't recommend soy iso for you until we have stopped everything for a couple months and see what your body does all on its own.
All these things that seem so harmless because they're just teeny little pills, can have BIG effects and so before using them, we need to be sure you actually need them because htey can cause more trouble than you already have!!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

I'm doing the PCOS LE diet plus extreme cardio, and my cycles have become "perfect": ovulate on CD 14, nice long LP of 12-14 days, like clockwork! Like atomic said, that is just not enough cals to ovulate . Vitex is tricky in that some people do well on it and others don't. The PCOS version of LE is healthier than the crash and burn LE diet, while still being very low nutrient and low fat/protein. We have seen great results on it. I don't even have PCOS, I just was tired of the crash and burn LE and I had already conceived an opposite on it so I am trying the PCOS one this time.
