    clomid and opks

I just finished taking clomid cd 5-9. I took an opk today cd 10, because this is when I usually start and I usually O on cd 12 or 13 not on clomid. Anyways, it is pretty dark but not positive yet. Does clomid have any effect on opks? I took one yesterday and it was super duper light.
    Thanks.

I have read that it does and that you should wait til 3 days after your last pill to start OPKs good luck

Yes Clomid causes false pos OPK when you take them right after you stop taking it. WAit couple days and then start testing

Thank you. It is not quite positive but I sure do not want to miss anything this cycle!! We have been bd every 4 days anyways and plan on trying SMEP....or at least an attempt at positive opk and the day after.

I know that normally Clomid works as 7 days after your last pill. It worked for me. But maybe you can take 2 kinds of stripes and see same time?

Well, it's not positive so I will just use one a day for now. I have wondfos. They have worked pretty good for me and when mine is positive, the test line is much darker than the control line. I took another one today and it wasn't as dark.

I had loads of dark OPK's on Clomid, and I mean weeks! It made it so hard to pinpoint ovulation. I didn't know what was going on so kind of gave up testing after a while out of sheer frustration and missed my window for that cycle (it was an unusually very long cycle too). Keep testing, even if you get a dark OPK everyday until you see that very extra dark one that means your positive. Good luck!
