    Appt with RE

So I had my first appt with an RE. It went ok I guess, wasn't very impressed. She is very business like, don't know if they are all like that. So today is CD 11 and my temp shot up this morning (I had very broken sleep also) like I ovulated yesterday. I also had brown spotting this morning before I went to the dr, have no clue why. I am very confused. She wants to repeat the HSG to see if my tubes are blocked and she said it doesn't make sense that my tubes would be blocked since I already have 2. My first was s csection and second was VBAC so it couldn't have been from scarring form surgery. Well, here is the part that is concerning me. She did an us and there was fluid inside my uterus. She said it was not normal for where i was in my cycle and my ovaries looked like nothing was going on and assumed I ovulated. So I assume that was the spotting but if she seemed like it was not normal, I am concerned. Any idea could cause the fluid or what it could be from???
She also said there is no way I could get pregnant this month like that! ((

    Any insight is appreciated!!!

Oh I just want to give you a hug honey! Hang in there! I am hoping that you get a better picture of what is going on, in your upcoming appointments. I feel badly for you that she was such a poor communicator! My experience with doctors is try to not let their own inadequacies effect you. Put it simply- she sucks!

    Hugs!!!

What did she mean about your ovaries? She thinks you can't have just Oed? She didn't see a lead follicle?

The fluid thing makes me think of my ears...I've had chronic bad ear pain for 9 years and no dr can tell me more except 'there's fluid in your ears'. Which I knew already as I'm constantly putting my little finger in my ears to get it out.

I would think an infection would be most likely which would explain blocked tubes also. But how did you get it is the question? Maybe while in the hospital giving birth?

I am so sorry it wasn't a more reassuring appt and friendly dr. Sounds like she is doing what she should be at least?

Maiden, she said that my ovaries looked they I had ovulated but she didn't say she saw a ruptured anything. I was thinking infection as well, and honestly that really scares me, but I did have an u/s in August before the HSG in October and my uterus looked great, no fluid. So I just don't know. She told me I needed to stop breastfeeding and almost fell over when i told her that I was. I mean I really don't know if that is contributing to anything. It seems like since clomid I can not get a dark positive opk on wondfo like I used to. She did bloodwork also so I will get those back in a couple weeks and I guess I will do my FSH again and the HSG when this (sigh) cycle starts.

So of course my brain is working in overdrive trying to figure out what the heck happened here. I started using the diva cup last year and I wonder if I had an infection and using that just pushed things up and made it worse. Feel like I just want to cry and cry!!
    Thanks for the support ladies.

She also suggested I take 600 mg of coQ10 and 75 mg of DHEA. Any thoughts?

we've had people on here who have blocked tubes from endo or PID after having other kids so I know that just isn't so.

Do NOT google fluid in uterus. There are a zillion things it could be many of which are terrifying. Did she have a suggestion for further evaluation?? That needs to be followed up on IMMEDIATELY. I agree that is not normal and needs to be taken seriously and investigated. I am not sure it's wise to ahve another HSG without investigating what that fluid is.

I would request a check for chlamydia and other STD's. Just to rule them out.

far more likely that the HSG caused infection. THis is a new developmnet or it would have shown up when they did the HSG

If she attributes a blocked tube, your experience on Clomid which was not normal reaction, over a year of TTC and fluid in your uterus to breastfeeding, well...I don't gots the words to say on that. Do not let a doctor bully you into stopping breastfeeding if you do not want to. The only reason to stop BF for TTC is if they've tested and found your prolactic levels are inhibiting your fertility. That is absolutely NOT what is going on here.

never take DHEA unless your levels have been checked. This comes right from Dr. Potter.

coq10 is ok but more than I'd typically recommend. I have people take 100 for swaying and the IVF girls take 400.
