Had my 20 week u/s today and was so disappointed. My u/s tech let me look at the screen for maybe all of two minutes on top of telling me as per the sign on the wall my doctor would have to discuss gender with me, not her. This is my third babe and first time I have ever had this told to me. I have attached the only picture she gave me. See any clues? Any and all comments welcome!!!

You need a potty shot at 20w, unfortunately. So she didn't mention anything at all? How rude! What did the dr say?
My Ovulation Chart currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP
TTC #1
- swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!
Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic
Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

I have an appt with my ob on the 26th. I've never encountered a tech that wouldn't say the gender. This is a first. Though we didn't find out for either of my girls we had the option while we were there. Also both times we got a ton of pictures. Little hands, little feet. Profile shots. Usually 5-8 pics. She gave me one. So disappointing.

Why do such people have jobs they obviously arent suited for? Clearly pregnant ladies want as much info and as many pics as possible, and time spent talking about what the tech thinks!
Can you fill out a complaint/survey form on her? Or at least mention her unfriendly attitude to your dr?
The 26th is ages away, I can't believe they make you wait so long to go over the scan.

I would call the office and ask if they can tell you the gender results. That's awful!

I agree call the office see if you can get the nurse to look through the notes etc. Hopefully she included a gender shot for your ob to look at

So sorry for you. I totally understand that you are disappointed. No gender clues in your picture I'm affraid. Maybe you could schedule anther ultrasound with a private ob/gyn? Good luck!

Finally had my appointment with ob yesterday, can barely believe I'm typing this but It's a boy!!!!!!!!!!!! I am on cloud 9! I really thought this would be our third girl. July cannot come soon enough. No one knows I found out (not even my hubby) so I am grateful to have somewhere to share my amazing news! Thanks for all ur kind words!
