To wait or not to weight?

I have only been on the diet hard for about 6-7 weeks now. Before that was only on it light for another 5 weeks or so, only skipping breakfast with 2 meals a day but eating red meat ect. I have lost about 15 lbs and am only 108 right now, not really as big of a deal as I am only just over 5 feet! My question is, is it more important to be on the full diet/sway for the 12 weeks or to try and get pregnant the month I am losing weight? I was only going to start trying in March because I get pregnant really fast! However I'm scared if I hold off I will need to up my calories so I don't go down much more in weight!

YES I want you to TTC RIGHT NOW. Don't wait any more. A light diet for 5 weeks bplus a stricter one for 7 weeks = 12 weeks which is the time frame we've seen good results with.

Don't worry about actively losing weight or not when you get pregnant. It's a much bigger issue for people when they lose too much and stop their ovulation!!!!

I would personally start eating more cals to prevent/slow down weight loss and keep going tor a full 12w before TTC.

    My Ovulation Chart
currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP

TTC #1 - swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!

Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic

Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

Thanks girls, although I have 1 vote each way I'm still undecided! On one hand I don't want to pass up a possible "girl" month but on the other hand if I do it this month and it does end up being another boy I will have always wondered if I would have just held off one more month if it would have been a girl! If only there was a way to know !

Yeah, but what if it would have been a GIRL this month and a boy next month??? YOu can't let yourself think that way or you'll "what if" your way into menopause!

I reiterate that if you did a light diet for several weeks, that really does count as time spent on diet. People tell me what they think of as "light" and it is often so strict it makes my eyeballs sweat and then I think "gosh what were they eating when they were being strict" and I find out it was cranberries and tree bark LOL. I still vote go for it.

Please please take Atomic's advice!! She really does know what she's on about I took the diet too far as the weight just fell off me so easily & had to sway blue to get pg. I don't wish for any other baby as I'm head over heels in love with my ds3 BUT I've learned my lesson for next time!

Thanks Atomic. I've been getting myself so worked up over this diet that I'm over eating because I'm so dam fed up. Plus I've been poorly recently and I've just eaten what I've fancied. I keep talking myself into waiting another month because ive eaten too much chocolate and at my age everyday counts! I haven't snacked or had breakfast since about October November time which has been so different, and I excersise 5-6 days a week which I never did with my boys. My BMI is only 17.9 so I don't know what I'm worried about. I feel like crying with relief, gosh I'm so obsessive no wonder I have boys.

Plus HT has been on my mind recently, but I know I'm too old and poor!

Anyone who is under BMI 18.5 (or really, under like 20 or so) and/or is much over 35, I would try every month that passes. Diet is NEVER ideal but there are no magic foods!! As long as you've changed your diet in a pink-friendly way, be in with that ONE attempt every month.
